When I bought the game recently I wasn't thinking about multiplayer. I've been enjoying the game in single player mode.

What I wish we could do, now, is share mission logs online that include a moving map. I'd like to be able to replay successful and unsuccessful missions of other players and discuss them on the board.

Too bad ERT development havent gone the way I wanted: I mean real WW2 actions like Bismark chase and carrier clashes like Coral Sea, Midway and so on. A couple of years lost, many missed great opportunities lost (no other good naval sim in the meantime) and, of course, a lot of lost potential customers

Just noticed this thread ok I am a month behind but it seems to me that there has been some confussion which has added to the frustration of the delays which has caused a few people to get a bit annoyed. Fair enough you can wait any longer and you are going to play other games. But the question is what other game out there offers you both combined surface sub (and possibly Grr Air combat) to the quality that ERT has the answer non at all. What I would not mind being able to do whilst waiting for the Massive Multiplayer world to be created is have a multiplayer game where everyone pitches up and plays a scenario in the traditional Multiplayer vein, this could be run through Gamespy or something.

Yes, there are other free MMORPGs and MMOGs out there. Everybody knows it. Some people just prefer this one over the others. I'm sure if you ever get sued like TAG, you'll understand it doesn't just whiz through court. A friend of mine has been getting divorced for four years now, because of issues with the judge & lawyers. It happens. It's stressful. I'm sure TAG appreciates any and all support it can get and, well, had you been in a lawsuit for a few years, I'm sure unsupported complaints and no solvant suggestions wouldn't help the progress of your product very much.

I have always been a multiplayer gamer and I feel ripped off by your game and tired of your promises .

(As previously stated) You bought a single player game. Multiplayer is still in the works you did not pay for it so you could not get ripped off.
I understand frustration to a point... What i don't understand, is the "I can't wait and I'm never coming back" attidude. This is a game not a girl (you don't have to wait)... go play SH3 save this link check back once in a while. When ERT does go massive multiplayer see if it's something you like. If you like it play it if not don't. I don't think anyone is just staring at thier computer waiting for ERT to go multiplayer (well maybe Buxton). I promise SH3 will not get jealous and leave you if you decide to play ERT too.

By the way I have played ERT multiplayer at Enigmacon. While it was not 100% complete it was still a blast to play and watch out for me in a PT Boat.

Sure you have to the right to speak your mind, but you shouldnt do it when you dont have anything to back up your words on.
GuildWars might be free for you, but someone is paying for the traffic and the servers, you can be sure that it is not the developers, more likely they have sponsors and/or other deals to generate an income to keep the servers running, if not then the game wont survirve for long.

And yes 2 years the MP was on its way untill a lot of things happened, that set back the development, you would have known if you read some of the topics here.

(on a side note didnt Bush promise you that he would capture Bin Laden? well that was in 2001, (more than 2 years ago) did he break his promise or just havent lived up to it yet?)

Usually don't post much around here, but I hate seeing people call Guild Wars a "free" MMOG.

There will be no fee to play Guild Wars online...however, they're working on a "modular" basis, releasing a new expansion pack every three months.

$30-$40 every three months, divided by 3 months, is $10-$13 a month. Guild Wars is deliberately holding back content that they have already created so that they can release it at a later time...seems to be a common business practice now, but nobody should assume that GW will be cheaper than any other MMOG.

Well one of the benefits of Guild Wars is that people can no longer complain about how they can't pay the monthly fee due to not having a credit card. Just go buy the new module at your local store for cash.

Are all of us who ponied up money several years ago for the promise of multiplayer (my friend and I ONLY purchased Enigma for the multiplayer) going to get a free copy of this MULTIPLAYER game???

I have played only a few of the misions, namely those submarine ones (which I enjoyed briefly) and have never bothered with anymore as I wanted to play against real, living opponents.

Before anyone tells me that I should play the campaigns and I am missing something because I have not, read:

One of the huge selling points of the game was MMOG. Now Tesseraction is going to release a new game - that we all have to purchase to get the MMOG we were promised years ago?

My friend who purchased the game very early on (to help support the project) just sent me an email saying he removed Enigma well over a year ago because the MMOG was never delivered and he was VERY HAPPY with SH3.

I understand there were problems that affected Enigma. I just believe that the next project Tesseraction releases this year should be to finish Enigmas as promised, BEFORE releasing another game that we must pay for to get the MMOG we were promised.
