War Zones

I know the plans for the first map when MP launches, thought I might find out what other areas people would like to see incorporated into the game (at later stages). I was thinking that the Arctic would be a great place to have battles. There could be icebergs to dodge, but I'd love to be able to go under the ice in a submarine and hunt down other subs. I'm not sure how much exploration was done in the time period we are dealing with, or if the ships/subs were capable of sailing in the colder areas, but it would be good for the "immersive" side of the game to have things like Icebergs one day.

In the end.. Enigma will have a fully scaled geometrical correct world map, so you get both iceberg to hide below and sunny beaches to tan on

Hey East, would there be anyway to maintain a record of harbours attended where the player could visit, shall we say, the Harbourmasters Office or an Immigration Clearance Office, and receive a virtual passport stamp?

Maybe a database record showing the most travelled/expllored skippers?

Personally myself, I'd like to try and join the Joshua Slocum society, or maybe follow sail through Europe to Asia (ala Tristram Jones?).

Perhaps once the world is instantiated we can look at that. Initial multiplayer will be restriced to about a 200km square area centered around the Azores.
