Correct - the readme, although included in the demo download, does refer to the full gold edition, so all of the features listed will not appear in the demo.

Changing ship names and numbers would have been a good feature to inlcude in the gold edition. We need more options for ship personalization in this game, even more so when multiplayer finally arrives.

but why can't the ships have the same names as in the campains not just a blank piece of wood, and since when did the BBC make sub dive plaines

So let me get this straight there will be a new version of ERT released into the market, and this is the demo for it? However those of us that already got the original in what ever format will be given a patch to bring it up to the Gold Standard?

Rob - you have that exactly right. A patch to gold level for those that already own it, otherwise buy the gold edition. Personally I never could get the original game to work right for me beyond the first UK patch. The demo gold edition worked fine on my PC though so I will be dumping the original and its patches via Ebay and purchasing the gold edition, already on pre-order and should be here Friday

when is the gold edition available

Mine just arrived a day early from Gameplay UK ! Cheapest I could find it at ?18.98 with p&p.
