Colors, Colors, Colors!

I don't know if this point has been raised before, but here goes...(just got the game last week).

I, like 25 percent of the male population in the world, have trouble with the red/green colors of the visible spectrum...in short, color deficient vision.

Not color-blind, color deficient. I can see red and green just find...but when you mix finer shades of those and like colors, its very very hard to descern.

Using the tactical map when submerged is murder for me, I can almost see the enemy ship dots better when moving the mouse off the tac map (when it changes color). Likewise, when on the surface, I have to look skyward to really see the red dots.

Also, as far as tube readiness, it is very difficult for me to see the difference between the green for ready and the yellow for loading. If I really look at it I can see the slight difference in color, but in the middle of an engagement, I need to be able to glance at it.

All I'm asking is that the color used are made more vibrant and easier to read for everyone, especially us handicaps :)

This would pretty much make this a perfect gaming experience from me and encourage me to stay involved in the community. Otherwise, its going to only be fun for a while as frustration mounts because of the colors.

I didn't mean to say that the colors have to be neon...sort of out of place on a 1937 sub.

Rather, I mean that the hues and shades of the colors chosen need to be as distinct and different from surrounding or (in the case of the torp status bubbles) co-existing colors. In that case, simply making the green darker and deeper would seperate it from the hue of yellow already in use. While you're at it, though, make that yellow more, well, yellow :)

My biggest problem, however, is the BTAC. Especially when submerged.

The goal is to make the colors selectable for those with intensity and color issues.
Well done, East Image.

This isn't an issue for me, but having just been reading some other Forums and seen how other Devs respond to (or ignore) similar valid comments as Ravenloff's, I just had to say how refreshing it is, to come back to the most civilized Forum on the Web, and see your first rate response to Ravenloff.

You should sell PR courses for some other Game Producers :D
