Running From 2nd Cd

hello, recently the cd drive on my laptop has been acting up so i purchased an external cd/dvd drive to use when it does. when i try to run enigma from my new cd/dvd the initial black and white screen that says play, uninstall etc comes up but when i click play i get the little brown window that says cd not found. i guess enigma is checking the d drive i used to install game with and not the new e drive thats my new cd/dvd. anything i can do to get it to check my new drive? any help appreciated. thanks, tom. playing usa version.

Yeah you have to reinstall Enigma.

Back up your user profile(s) they are located in ..\installdir\your_player_name\* simply copy them all to another folder.

Then uninstall Enigma via "Add/Remove Programs" and install from your new drive and patch the new install up to date, then copy your profile folder back to the instaldir.

You can also swap the drive letters around so that E:\ becomes D:\ and D:\ becomes E:\ (but thats a different story)

There is also a registry value for the source directory (CD drive).

thanks for the reply's. im wanting the choice of which drive to run the game from so i guess being able to switch drive letters would work best. any info on how to go about doing so? any help appreciated. thanks, tom.

Switching ing drive letters isnt something you should do whenever you feels like it.

In my opinion you should just reinstall the game
