Voice Files

I have extracted the USA voice files from the original Silent Hunter and combined it with another guys voice pack and made a zip file but I have know idea where to put it so other people can use it, I am new to this stuff, although I have downloaded from the net before

Dave do you mean Enigma Rising Tide instead of Silent Hunter?

What dir should I extra the voice files to?

OK never mind I got this figured out. I was not checking the Folder thing in winzip and therefore the my_voicepack adn the my_voicepack1 folders were not being put in the enigman folder for some reason.

I manually put those folders into the engima folder and then was able to download the upzipped wave file and the communciations.txt file in the proper folders.

I can now hear the USA and the German Voice Responses.

I guess I am going to have to read the Winzip manual better. Or should I just say that I should read it period. I hate reading all these manuals lOL

I have searched the net, gone through my old games and demo discs, trying to find something to use as a British voicepack, I have tried using text to voice emulators with British addons, I have looked at family and friends for British accents or anyone that can do an accent, I've even tried using my own voice, but we won't go there again. unless you need a good laugh. So any body have any ideas or leads please help

If you have ever played the game Fighting Steel, their are effective British accents in that; I just don't remember if they would work for Enigma. Sorry, that's all the help I can offer, tho I would love to see a jolly good (sorry that was stupid, I know.)British voice pack.

Have any of you ever talked with Buxton? He has a killer english accent, but he claims he sound stupid on recorded wavs

Maybe if we all pokes him, he will actually do it

The first game I checked for voices was Fighting Steel, but all the voices say things like one of our ships has been hit and is slowing the convoy down or one of our ships has detached from the convoy etc nothing useful for Enigma
