The Red Rippers

The Red Rippers are a naval fighter squadron witch fly the F/A-18F Super Hornet but when my Dad was in the squadron they flew the F-14 Tomcat. The F-14 Tomcat was designed as both an air superiority fighter and a long-range naval interceptor. The wings on the Tomcat are very unique. thew can be folded back for high speed intercepts but can also be swung forward for lower speed engagements. The squadron was first created in 1950. My Dad was a mechanic in the squadron who worked on the tomcat. My Dad always talks about when he and the Red Rippers were deployed on the USS Carl Vinson in February 1994 for the mission Southern Watch. The mission objective was to make a no-fly zone over airspace south of the 32 parallel over Iraq. The mission was a  success. I think it would be cool if we could dedicate a plane (in war thunder) to my Dads squadron (by putting the insignia on a plane). I would suggest the F2H Banshee sine the Red Rippers flew that plane in 1958. If u guys have any more info on the Red Rippers that you would like to share pleas put it bellow.
