having a little giggle here... Sorry but I have never seen any Squadron website post pick of themselves getting nailed. Best thing to do is just keep up the fight and bag them as much as possible I suppose.

Didn't the Japs try to damage US bombers in the actaul war - I suppose its just something to deal with - I dont see it as unsporting as it probabaly mean the loss of a jap aircraft as well. To get that close mean some excellent flying skill so lets just avoid or shoot them down.

FYI....

Be aware to check for high altitude contrails when ever conducting a wide Fighter Sweep behind enemy "lines" looking for elements of the 47th Sentai.

I was involved with a rather lengthy dog fight against "Ukasaki" for about roughly 20 minutes who has a tendancy to fly a "George" well above contrail height up to extreme altitudes past 31,000 feet. No kidding ! We were up so high at times that my altimeter stopped reading.

Rest assured that the Corsair can and does perform excellent up in those altitude extremes, you just need to use long extensions before even thinking about turning around to reacquire your bandit. No turn fighting in these extreme altitudes or you will stall out your wings very quickly, just keep all your turns within a 45 degree envelope while attacking your bandit or reset yourself for another try. Thats a given if your flying a 1 v. 1 scenario as I was last night.
