Good Joystick Settings

Hey Chaps

Try replacing your joystick control data in the config.ini under [rts_joystick] with these:

X=0 1 4 9 16 25 36 49 64 81 100 0

Y=0 1 4 9 16 25 36 49 64 81 100 0

Z=0 10 20 30 40 50 60 70 80 90 100

Where do i find this file i dont see anything about rts_joystick or whatever it's what folder do i look in???

Since I've gotten my computer stolen during a recent break-in, I don't have the game available. But, I believe you can load up the game and click on the "Hardware" button in the lower right and bring up joystick controls to make the changes listed. Each flyer has his/her own way of flying and you just need to play around with the config's to get your best feel. As soon as I replace my computer/game/joystick/TrakIR...etc, I'll hope in the cockpit and show you the ropes. Tbar is another pilot that may be able to show you around. Bostimax is now taking over the MCVG-2 and he's a great pilot with much knowledge you can pick at. Gos, I'm sure, will respond to this post in due time. Welcome to ToW and pop up on Teamspeak sometimes and we'll chat.

If you go to the game's root directory ie... "C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\" look for the file that says "conf" it has an icon of a notepad with a cog on it. In there almost at the end is where you will find the joystick settings.
