AA SOCCER INTERNATIONAL DISCUSSION

Hi Kids

After the Soccer event on Sunday I was talking with Gelp the UK event manager

and Wizard.

Gelp liked the event alot and we are now talking about having a monthly soccer

match UK vs US. GE wil be welcome If they can pull together enough pilots.

We brushed over having it open to all players, and also just for squads.

I would like to run this as a USAAC sponcered joint effort event with the UK.

I am seeking the staff's blessing and input on this. :?

Well Popgun,

You should know my opinion on this subject. I LOVE IT! In addition I would like to see this turn into some kind of Squad League.

The problem would be getting enough pilots for each squad to field a team. It would probably take at least 10 pilots on each squad to do this effectively, or maybe combining squads to form teams might be the thing to do.

One team squad would fly offense the other defense and each would supply a "ball", and then we could change it up at half time.

I also suggest that if this is done that we do it on Saturdays, in order to allow the Aussie pilots to get in on the games. I know they are kinda left out of thing due to time zone differences and it makes it tough to get a good schedule.

Anyway, Its just a thought from the left ball flying high on the undefeated GB team!

Sqauds = NO

Teams = Yes

Make up Two team names rather then an old boring format of gb vrs ge or su vr ge.

WSG = West Side Gang

ESG = East Side Gang

Just make up two names for two teams.

Keep it in the 'fun event' area. Don't compete with Leagues. If it were to be 'league' oriented, then it needs to be in Sky's department. Saturday Am's would just about put the USA out of the picture, however the Aussie and Euro Pilots this would be good for.

As a once a month type of thing .. maybe US vrs UK would works.. but don't use those names or suggestion that usa pilots go us etc.. use the "two team name" type of concept.

My 2 cents .. and I don't know nuttin and prove it every day :)

AND... why is this post in this area?

Keep it in the 'fun event' area. Don't compete with Leagues.

This would most likly stay in funevents, 10 players per team is good

more is better,Most squads dont have but 6 to 8 pilots.

Keeping it in fun events would allow for picking up xtra pilots

outside of the squad.,

So it could be setup for a squad fun event.This was mentioned by Wizard and Gelp.

Well the point to this was UK vs US , We felt that this would draw more pilots,

US flies on US team. I'm sure that not all pilots will fly on their country,

Such as Vipor is on TKFM and will want to fly with them,

But the majority will fly their own country. I hope :roll:

Perhps names that use the country in it.

Such as US eagles, UK Killers........ect

Not sure about event name yet.

AND... why is this post in this area?

Since this is where we talked about the LTS League

I figured this was The place to talk without gen public oppion so as to stay on topic.
