LTS LEAGUE

I was watching the LTS match USHA vs TS.

It went on much longer than expected.

This may be because of no alt limit.

As a suggestion perhaps a time limit of say 10 min per round...

After the 10 min is up all pilots must turn and fight, no running.

Please dont punch me for bringing this up, its just a suggestion

The Rules are fine .. if only folks would read them.

The 'referee' can order 'engagement' ... Part of a test is testing if participants as well as the official know their own rules? Referree's were 'empowered' in certain areas to cover a host of "bad things" that might cause a round to go on and on... ie 10 mintue rule you suggest. We can't invision everthing .. but by empowering a 'ref' prevents a lot we could not forsee.. IMHO.

Referee will give the scramble command and both teams will take off and will be free to engage. All planes should engage, if the Referee can visibly see that a plane is not engaging he will make an announcement tot he appropriate team to engage. If the pilot still will not visibly engage he will be counted as dead and must crash. Once you are shot down you can not take off, you must wait for the next round. When round is over pilots must crash, NO LANDING. (No Exceptions)

As far as the game being prolonged due to not having an alt limit, I will be doing some thinking and will talk to the participants and get their input at the end of this test.

In the USHA vs TS scenario the end of the game wound up consistently with the last TS pilot being higher than the remaing USHA ( usually crippled and hobbling ) giving chase. Whil one or 2 USHA gave chase to TS the fight became a cout and mouse game with TS flying the map from side to side going higher and trying to elude the chasers. Sometimes grabbing until the other TS pilot in play could get up to help him in a rope or trap.

So really it is in the definition of not engaging. What if on take off all but one pilot take off together and the other pilot just run the map away from the action to secure the higher position?

That is part of a good tactic but is it considered not engaging?

And in the scenario above we where trying to catch him and following relentlessly but it was suggested by a TS pilot on the runway that USHA were not engaging after Sky tryed to intervene and mentioned not engaging.

Mind you all of the above dont bother me personally but for the betterement of the game perhaps a time limit is in order. And maybe an alt limit also. 20 k wouldnt be bad.

Well back in the 1.5 days, when the ref called out engage,

all pilots had to engadge. there was no running allowed.

Perhaps this should be inforced. any pilot seen going farther than

1 square from the fight would be cause for a forfit of the round.

Remember this is why we are testing this out.to fix the bugs....
