NEW APLLICANTS WANTING TO JOIN BSS

After receiving 2 emails from my C/O Tbar that had some criteria

relevant to an application for membership in to the BSS, Further, The

email directed that no reply by email only post any comment in relation

to said application as follows;

1. Applicant "Warwar" real name "Garrett," works in a drug store, Applicant's

answer as to why he wants to join the BSS?, His answer: "Cool Name, Tough

Squad, I know I can learn a lot!" USA State: MA....., No other imfo., Cutter's

Opinion and evaluation of applicant's criteria as follows;

A. This applicant only wants to join the BSS due to it's and quote: "COOL NAME!"

B. Lists no other reasons as to why this applicant feels that the BSS is right for

him! Such as example: I've have reviewed all other Squadron's Criteria and

for what they stand for, and found that the BSS stands out from all others

and that in time I would hope to make a contribution to the BSS and carry

on it's tradition.

C. Applicant fails to state his abilities as a pilot and experience from the time he

has been with AA, such as practice on and off line play "blank hours per day.",

and if he has ever participated in any "Fun Events, Team Play and etc.

In my summary to this applicant's failure as to state fully as to why he wants to be

a member "Other then it's "COOL" I say "NAHHHHHHHH! (NO)

In reference to the 2nd applicant as follows;

Applicant "Deadlock", real name Aaron, USA State: Texas, age 13 soon to be 14 on

2/08

Opinion and evaluation as follows;

A. Applicant states that he has flown on AA 6 months back!, question: Does this

mean that he stopped flying 6 months back, and just got back in to the game

again?

B. States in application that he participated in a practice session with the BSS..,

This is true, cause I remember him joining in that practice session on 27/11/07,

I also remember during this same week and the week prior to the practice

session, he had flown with me( I was tag 8ball) and JoKeR (Riddler) along with

BSS_Sick, and Strife in the FFA arena, He does have some experience upon

my first hand observation in FFA with him, I also tried communication with him in

the FFA at the time on TS, as to "What does Deadlock mean?" he failed to answer

on TS at that time in the FFA arena, Rather he chose to text his answer!, I checked

my TS site page, and saw he was in the ToW:BSS_room with all pilots named above

during the time in FFA, Question: Why did'nt he answer on TS instead of texting?"

C. This applicant was with the BSS during 27/11/07 Red Wing vs Gold Wing, being Strife,

JoKeR, Cutter, Hollywood, Tbar and deadlock (the applicant) We were all on TS, But,

I do not remember this pilot (and applicant) saying anything.

E. He also refers to the BSS as being "COOL"!

In my summary and evaluation: I feel at this present time, something is not "Kosher" here,

Could it be we allowed a fox in the hen house?, or in this case, a "Wolfe among us?" Could

this be Lippsa? I for one do not know and I'm trying to be fair here with this applicant! But,

I remember when I applied: I gave as much personal imfo about myself more so then expected

or needed, and stated the primary reasons as to why the BSS over any other squads, and my

abilities, skills and experience with AA in general. I feel at present time, not to reject and or

accept this applicant till more imformation relevant to this pilot can be submitted to the BSS for

further evaluation and consideration in to the BSS. I say "Nahhhhhhhhhh"(NO) at present time,

but, if any further imfo pertaining to this applicant can be obtained for review by all, then leave

application open, and reply to the applicant for further imfo! Thank you Cutter.

trust me he (warwolf not warwar) is a great person and it is not up to you or me to say yes or no to this stuff... it is the CO's and XO's job m8 and it doesnt matter if the give away all their info.. we dont need to know where they live or their phone number.. i said some wierd stuff in my application... so just chill lol.. i have seen and known them both for a while and they are some pretty decent pilots.. at least warwolf is

Well it is apparent that you do not know as much as you say about

these applicants (pilots) in general in all do respect ToW_Top_Gun, as

to why as follows;

I just got off TS with Tbar and popgun, Guess what? pertaining to one of the pilots

you so said you know a lot about, being Aaron= " deadlock", 1.deadlock was booted

out of the USHA squadron: Fact, due to violating specifically AA & USHA's rules

repeatedly!, 2. deadlock also was booted several times off TS by popgun for manipulating

TS, by taking other pilots with out their wanting to be in other channels and rooms! 3.

Aaron AKA: deadlock is popgun's nephew, being popgun's brother Ken, who is tag danger's

son! In conclusion: popgun said that USHA would never have him back, and that he was

better off not being on any squad! Also popgun stated to me and Tbar that pertaining to

his nephew that he was sending us a yellow flag for caution! Whereby, Tbar absolutely

agreed with this, and Tbar said No from the very first git go up on application from him.

Now gun, before you start jumping the gun on me, You need to base your comments on

facts first, not your emotions, as for it is for the C/O's and X/Os decision to bring him or

the other applicant in to the BSS, I whole heartedly agree with you, but, my email specifically

stated to post any reply I may have on this! So I did. Now in conclusion Gun, I only ask

that you keep an opened mind when addressing anything towards me, I at times take a lot

of things serious, but considering your age, I therefore, will not get in to any disagreement

with you, and I understand that it would be nice to have a few of pilots closer to your age

as team mates in the BSS, where you can have things more in common with your age group!

All pilots are equal here at BSS, regardless of age.

I just got off TS with Tbar and popgun

That information was semi-confidential.. I'm not sure you should have repeated it. Be carefull about repeating information in printed form such as forums because the party we were speaking to may not be as free to speak in the future if he knew we would print same. The hesitation .. from that source .. indicated he was not sure he should say anything.

Exposing the whole squad .. to 'parts' of a pilots application is an experiment ... Hopefully it would give us more input from the squad where we don't get burned by some applicant masking as someone else etc. Also, Tbar and Joker can't be in the air to see everything.. espcially a pilots behavior .. So, I think the application review is a good thing.. we may continue this. The idea was total opposite of what has transpired so far.. the idea was that when you see these pilots in the air you might 'talk' with them , give them some pointers and thru all that you might be able to tell if this guy is serious, worthy, .. and most importantly .. is he a 'good guy' or a 'bad guy'.

Warwar's Application.

He looks ok to me. As for the content of the application and the manner of speach etc .. that does not bother me. Hell .. reviewing Jokers application .. I may not have let him in! As to Cutters application .. it was so full of information that I didn't need .. and so LONG a read .. I feel asleep and hit the OK button by mistake.. lol.

Most of the time folks just don't really know how to answer some of the questions on the application. That Application really needs to be re-worked. Joker and I both know the application is lacking a bit, and we use a lot of different criteria to evaluate same .. but in the end .. we normally give 'everyone' a 'chance and opportunity'. We normally let the individual prove themself to the squad as a whole. So far .. so good.

An answer like "cool squad" does tell me something .. those that answer like that show me that there is something in the squad they really like.. and if they like it .. they will most likly respect it, honor it, and want to be part of it for the long haul. Of course .. I could be wrong, but its not like we have a lot to work with. As always .. the personal interview on TS is always the best way to go.

I like the review prcess .. and folks making comment on applicants (short comments and to the point). Remember .. Joker can't make a career out of reading reviews on applicants .. there are boggies to shot down!!

I personally havent seen either pilot flying much. I have seen warwolf but not recently and Aaron was always a pain in the butt So I think my vote would be invalid seeing as how I can't base it on anything.

top this is partially true. But Tbar has asked us to attempt to bring in recruits, so by selecting the recruits you are in a way saying "yes or no" to a new pilot. We have had several instances where Tbar and JoKeR asked the squad about their feelings towards certain pilots before allowing them in. So we all sort of have a say. Some of us are just louder than others.

It seems funny to me that we try to do something good by letting you guys in on some things we found on some of the applications. Most applications that are accepted are done so with out the approval of the entire squad. The reason for that is that either Tbar or myself or both of us has come to the conclusion that this applicant would make a good fit.

I believe that the reason Tbar sent out the "stripped" applications for you guys to review was that he/we thought the applicants are suspect. Meaning that something isn't quite right about the application or the applicant. I believe that all Tbar is looking for is a little information that you guys might have about these guys, or to let you know that maybe a known "trouble maker" has applied to our squad.

1. Deadlock aka Aaron. while he may be flying and acting as a perfect gentleman at the moment, we all should know who he is. He's been a thorn in more than one squads neck.

2. Warwolf aka Cody aka Garrett , I don't know much about this person. His application is suspect to me because he didn't supply a DoB. Remember, BSS are looking for members 18 years of age or older. Until some of us including myself has flown around with this guy FOR A WHILE, I'm not going to accept his application until I know he can act like and adult, if he is a minor.

3. Jolt aka Tyler, To me his application is suspect because of things you guys do not have or have or will not see. I sent and e-mail out to Jolt and carbon copied Tbar with that e-mail. I invited Jolt to join us when he flew in practice with us last Sunday I think it was. He seemed to be a pretty good pilot, but in this case I saw something in his application that I didn't seem right to me so until he reapplies or contact me the issue is dead.

Furthermore, in no case do I think that we asked for a topic of discussion was to be brought up in the forums. I'm a little disappointed by some of the things I have read here in this thread. We are not here to bash one another. Everyone has and equal voice and allowed to speak his mind without others condemning or making condescending remarks. If you disagree with someone, just say it and give us your point of view and move on.
