Dec 1st Rookie Event

Affirmative X/O JoKeR, I will at your discretion re-think it over and the possibility to

reconsider in taking part in this "Invitational Event", but, I respectfully request

that all pilots No Matter their status join in also, even if it means me to sit it out

on the runway base!, In all do respect, "We are a Squadron of 'Rookies" in general

speaking, Which we all are in need especially me, more "Flying Time" and Practice,

Practice, and Practice., Example; Say Cutter joined the BSS in January of 2007 this

year, I would be considered a "Senior Rookie Pilot" based upon, during the last 10

months, 'Was I an active player, in FFA, Rookie Arena, teams, fun events and practice

arenas in general?" How far have I come from then?, Am I still in the process of

improving? Am I as good as "Fury, Fox_CR, Skydancer, FD_Marine, TIMBER, Tow_Top_

Gun, Sabian, Tank, Ripper, Vipor, Temper for example? And yes, in the almost 2 short

months actually, I have shot these guys down, and they have me!, but, I'am constantly

learning from my mistakes and observing their straegy and tactical manuvers! I better

add Tbar as a highly qualified pilot or I will expect to get my 6 chewed out again, any

way all jokes aside, he has said to me repeatedly, he does not consider him self to be that

good, but I say he is good, and yes he him self to is learning every time he plays, and

you are good to JoKeR! Now then, I would like to see, you JoKeR, Tbar, Tow_Top_Gun,

USAFCAR, ToW_Jonny, Strife, and Hollywood just to name a few, represent the BSS and

go up against this other UK Squadron! After all, you are "The Black Sheep" and send

a message to all US Squadrons and our Allies that the BSS can handle their own!

Only my mere opinion, Cutter (PS: I know, Takes me to write a book to get my point

across)

This is NOT a squad invitational.. it is an invite to Rookies. The invitation was sent to me personaly because BSS is known as a "noob squad" .. thus we would have a lot of rookies and rookies is what this event is all about.

Joker gave you a guidline .. Tail numbers higher than 26 should consider joining this event. One also needs to check their own abilites and measure that.

When the rules go public .. you will know more and be able to make a decission at that time.

Roger that, I went back and re-read the Dec. 1st Rookie invitational event

that Tbar had posted, Yes, I admit I was a hesitant on joining in this event,

"I at the time, When I first read it, I interpreted it as "This is cute", will we actually

be going up against their "Rookies" in general?, or up against a combination

of very much experienced pilots, and get our 6's kicked by being pinned

through out the entire event.

But, after careful consideration, I believe that our C/O and X/O are too wise

to allow any set up against the sheep, I just do not trust those "Fox_Crs out

there! If this event is similar to our "Practice Matches" against FD (USHA) then

I have no problem with it, I just do not want to step on a booby trap before

I get lift off!, and Like JoKeR said, some very experienced pilots like to change

their known name tags to what ever!

In conclusion: If my C/O and X/O can work out details with the other Squadron

such as this; "Every thing goes "Like a BACKYARD BRAWL" scoring points from

the pilot's plane to the base it's self", they are still considered the enemy even

in a friendly match, after the event, they are all friends in general!, but, match

for pilot against pilot, just might have that Rookie actually going up against Aces

through out the event! Only my humble opinion, and mere suggestion. Cutter

But on the other hand, even if they are all "ACES" I know the BSS "Rookies"

can handle our own as a "Team", I will therefore join in with my team mates

to help make BSS well known through out the communities of AA. So bring it

on, "Lets Git Some! Cutter Semper Fi

Ok So far what I was able to find out on the UK site is this is going to be a fun event where you go in a room with all the [GUIDE]s and shoot them down. The pilot with the most kills at the end of the 30 minutes is declared the winner.

So, Top_Gun this just may be up your ally.

Here is a link to the UK forums were I found the information. I asked if I could participate as one of the target planes and got a one word response. What the hell it mean I don't know unless they think that we are all rookies here at the BSS.

Comments from Tbar:

IMHO this is a huge error on the part of Wizard .. hugh error.

I see that we are teaching rookies here that this type of flying is fun and ok. A Risk is being run here that I don't like, and that is teaching rookies all the things we dont want.. runwaying, ramming, spawn killing etc.

A Rookie event is a great idea. Should have been 30 minutes of a LTS or LMS type of thing. Or a backyard brawl. This would teach them how to behave in normal events.... and what appropriate behavior is.

Wiz is a great guy and trying to do a noble thing here .. but I think he should have thought this out more.

This is NOT a good rookie event for BSS. Fly if you like .. but I'm really disappointed in seeing these rules. I shall tell Wizard so also.
