RED AND GOLD WING PRACTICE

OK, SHEEPIES

Listen up, I just noticed on the CLP that this coming Tuesday, Popgun is going to hold the LTS fun event.

I wrote him a PM to let him know of my disappointment in this move. At this time I do not know if this is a permanent move or just temporary. The fact is I believe our practice should come first. The reason being is when I first joined BSS our practices where on Wednesdays, then the LTS events where scheduled for that time slot. I really wanted to practice so we started flying LTS for our practice. I learned squat from that and I don't want any of you to feel like I did.

Therefore, PRACTICE WILL BE HELD ON TUESDAY NIGHT. I WILL BE THERE. We've got a pretty good thing going so far and I don't want to have it messed up. Our practices, while we would like to have them go for about an hour, usually run 1 1/2 hours or more, which is just fine with me.

So, you have to make up your own mind what you want to do. I'm going to be at practice this Tuesday.

I happen to fully agree with you JoKeR.

On the topic of Popgun as USAAC Fun Event Manager .. I know what I set up and the guidlines .. and it has all been very sucessfull. What Pop is doing now ... changing days etc .. I don't think is a good idea ... but that is USAAC business. IMHO

Top_Gun,

Young man, I hope that you do realize that we have a FLIGHT SCHEDULE posted on our web site. If you'll notice it says, Practice on SUNDAY'S 1.5 hours before match time. IF NO MATCH IS SCHEDULED we will have practice at 1:00 PM EST. SO yes we will have practice this Sunday at 1:00 PM EST.

well as far as i'm concerned we moved the red wing practice to keep from being around "fun events" and here they move em on top of us again. again as far as i'm concerned we are doing red wing practice tuesday night 8pm Washington DC time. As i said i have planned something a little different but will also help you to be more in touch of your plane along with some more formation flying. So please come to practice if you can make it.

I think we should keep the Tuesday practices. We will learn much more through those practices than through the mayhem at the events. The only thing we can practice in the events may be SA(so many targets but concentrate on immediate threats and incoming threats) but thats about it. So I will keep it to Tuesdays, because who would want to pass up the chance to shoot down Red baddies? Image

HUMMMMMMMMM, Not to many pilots showed up for practice yesterday evening! And

DEPENDABILITY? I presume, is warranted and expected by all pilots to make a show,

unless that pilot has a good and legitimate excuse prior to "NO SHOW!" Red Wing had

show of, X/O_JoKeR, Strife, deadlock & Cutter, While Gold Wing had Hollywood & C/O

Tbar, being a total of "6" Pilots! "Red's excuse is understandable (Computer problems)

for which we all have known for some time now (and his ISP server).., Now before any

one jumps the gun on me, I know I'm the last person to answer to, and it is to your

superior officers, being C/O, E/O & WLs.., So why did I add my 2 cents in as follows;

1. Practice improves

2. Practice instills newer and better strategies, plans and tactical assets in general to

see how they worked out, but, if not enough pilots to train in this area, then what good

will the outcome be?, for those pilots that have never under gone the practice procedure

in general?

3. Practice also helps and teaches the instructor's their (students) the pilots strengths

and weaknesses, and pertaining to any weakness in any given specific field of aerial

flight and etc can be worked on to better any said pilot.

4. Practice also gives and allows all pilots to know one another and helps each other

as their team mate, to watch over one another!

Finally, I could go on and on as to why practice is important, but, we all know why first

hand, So why do I bother with my time to even want to emphasize it's importance? Well

I can assure you it's in no way to undermine my immediate superiors, I believe they

do their part as Officers in charge of the BSS, but are the pilots doing their part?????

Only my observation and humble opinion! Cutter
