Gentlemen,

Once again you made me proud to be a member of the Black Sheep. Today we where missing two of our top pilots, Tbar and AirBoss, While we flew around like little lost Sheep, we gave USHA a run for there money.

Yes I know that it was posted that we didn't get either of the first kills, I still think that I did make the first kill in the first half. We'll never know because it wasn't till after I got shot down my first time that I recorded the match.

Ok, Now for the GOOD, THE BAD, and THE UGLY.

The Good. BSS_RED was the Second Best Pilot for kill in the second half with 11Kills and 12 Deaths in a LA7 after that 7th went to Zarn at 6-6 in a YAK3, 8th-Talon 5-5 in a YAK3, 9th JoKeR 4-8 in a YAK#3, 10th-Strife 3-11 in a LA5 (I think) It was good to see so many of our pilots in the top ten.

In addition 2 team kills and 1 crash 1st half (USHA also had 2 TK and 1 Crashes, and 2nd half we had NO TEAM KILL and 1 Crash (USHA had 2TK's and 3Crashes). SO lets be proud of that.

The Bad: USHA started with 7 LA7s and We started with all BF-109K4s in the first half.

We used TS quite well except for the guys who didn't have a mic or couldn't talk to us.

Strife did a remarkable job on TS today!. Unfortunetly, once again we did not use the K4s the way they where supposed to be used. Once USHA got us knocked down, they put a pretty effective pin on us for about 10 minutes of the match. Finally a couple of us broke out and started to get a little pin going on USHAs base and held them there for some of the game and we kinda went back and forth but played most of the game on thier side of the map. USHA KILLs 82 Deaths 30, BSS Kills 30 Deaths 80.

Second half: USHA started with all K4s, We started with 5 YAK3 and 2 LA7's and I think this was a good combination and I would only make one change here and have a couple of more LA7's I think would of helped. Once we got the fight going the Yaks where able to keep the K4s turning and allowed our guys to push in and get some really good kills. Why USHA wanted to turn fight I don't know but they did and got hurt a little bit. We able to cover the GE base quite well but all in all USHA came out on top. USHA Kills 68 Deaths 34 BSS Kills 32-Deaths 71 we had a 6 ratio in the second half. Not bad gentlemen, but we still have a long way to go.

The UGLY: Getting you guys to speak up on Team Speak the 2nd half. There was no reason for us to clam up like we did. It seem like Strife, Zarn and Myself where the only ones there.

We got to throw another NEWBIE to the Wolves. Blackwolf got a taste of the big time today. I hope it didn't scare him off. He's also very shy on TS. Gunslinger, We really need to get this guy under control. When he took off from the US base I thought for sure we where going to have to forfeit the match. SOMEONE PLEASE GET THIS GUY UP TO SPEED AND GET HIM ON TS. Also the in game comm use by other not flying the match needs to stop immediately.

I think we are going to have a practice of just using brevity code. If you don't have a copy of the brevity code please download one from the ***FLIGHT SCHOOL*** locker posted here in the forums.

A lot of the code we will not be using but it will help us in speaking more effectively on TS.

We also need to start working with wing man teams. I've got a little mini roster I'm working on to pair up 5 to 6 pilots in a wing team. This way if one gets killed there are a couple more around you to hook up with. These wing teams won't be peremanant we probalby rotate the members about once a month and we will all work on the same type of skills. It will be up to the WTL ( Wing Team Leader to coordinate mini practice sessions with your wing team. We will also have some more inter squad competitions of WTL vs WTL. At this moment we have approximately 22 active pilots this should be enough to get us going with WTL's.

I welcome any thoughts or questions you might have on todays match with USHA.

Our next match is against our friends the Fighting Dragons, which we had the chance to fly against in a friendly scrimmage match yesterday. Once again we didn't have any of our senior pilots other than Strife, Talon, RED, and Myself along with Coldfire who was flying sick with the flu. Lippspa and Gunslinger where the newbies that we used for dragon bait. Sorry guys, but you gotta learn sometime, RIGHT??

All in all we had a great game with the USHA squad. Now we move on to FD. I'm getting my BBQ grill ready to have me some BBQ's dragon wings, buffalo style, this weekend!!! UUUMMMMM GOOOOOOD!

JoKeR!

Fellow sheeps.

Great report of the game Joker and spot on analysis too. We certainly lacked experience against USHA but I was proud of the gutsy performance that we put in last night.

In terms of comms i felt we went a little quiet when we got pinned. We lost our confidence and stopped talking to each other, which I feel happens in team games when you are feeling a bit overwhelmed. However, I felt that we gradually began believing in ourselves again (in no small part to Jokers excellent leadership and encouragement) and took it to them with some success.

I like the idea of wing teams. Winging up with an individual pilot is difficult sometimes but finding members of your wing again after being shot down, especially if wing team leader communicates position, objectives of team etc. should be easier.

All in all despite pilots still making mistakes like turn fighting 109's I feel that we are making steady progress.

Anyway I'll shut up now. I'm around at 8pm UK time for weekly euro practice if anyones up for it this week.

Laterz all.

Zarn
