A Couple Of Questions

First just let me start by saying that East and all the people over at Tesseraction Games have a done a fabulous job with this game. I have never played a sub game that has been so enjoyable and not so 'simmy' like other games.

Secondly, I have been trying to read has many of the posts that I can. I've learned a lot from people such as East, Buxton, Jesper, Old Yellowstain and many others. Just wanted to say thanks to you all.

Now for the questions: I've found through reading some posts that the people on the surface ships can be captured when their boat is sunk. When a sub gets depth charged at 150 ft. and it capsizes, I assume that the crew is lost.

What will happen to the player in the sub? Will people die? Will there be respawning? Will it be more advantageous to be on a surface ship to be able to play longer?

I am wondering if there will be places for the more timid players to be spectators in the game (like in that awesome zeppelin I saw)? At a cheaper price?

I've heard rumors of trading/supplying options for the players not wanting to be captains. I think that is an excellent idea. Working for factions, refueling/ supplying ships, being protected by a hoard of destroyers on the open seas.

Hi and welcome.

What port of Wisconsin are you from? I know a few people around there :)

When you are sunk, you will die, thats logic :P

You will ofcuz respawn, else you would be throwing money out of the window LOL, but you waont respawn where you were sunk.

If you survive being sunk (eg you jump overboard or takes a lifeboat) you will be "lost at sea" and will have to wait for a fellow ally to pick you up.

Or you will respawn in a nearby ally port, or maybe all the way back to your home port.

Submariners to have a tougher row to hoe in that if you are DC'd deep, you die. Crew is lost, etc. It is not very easy to sink a submarine however. If you are a good commander, you will do well in the deep as well as the surface.

Non-Combat participants will likely be able to play for less money, they can crew if they choose, or take a civilian post in a port, on a merchant, on a liner...

Hey Jesper,

I'm from Manitowoc, home of the U.S.S. Cobia. Unfortunately we didn't make her here though, she was made in Connecticut. All the ones that were made here have been sold to other countries or decommissioned after years of faithful service and more years as training vessels. If I need any inspiration I can just head down to our museum here and take a tour of her.

I was hoping that we could get the battleship U.S.S. Wisconsin here to join her, when the Wisconsin was retired a few years back. I'm guessing she wouldn't have fit in the harbor or the river though. We host a WWII submariners convention every year. Vets from all over the country come here, although less and less come every year. It's really pretty cool.
