If I have not contacted you personally as of yet I would like to take this chance to welcome you on board the USS Gilbert Islands. As a member of MCVG-2 you will be afforded every opportunity to hone and improve your skills as Marine Aviators. We value skill but team work and your ability to work as a unit is more highly valued than your skill in this command. Skill can be trained and given to you but the willingness to work within a team is up to you.

Muster for quarters is at 0600 hrs in the forward hanger bay aft of frame 35 on the port side abreast the fire control locker. After quarters you are to report to the loft to receive your flight gear, take good care of it. From there you are to go directly to the Master at Arms to be issued your side arm. At no time will you keep a loaded weapon in your birthing space we don?t need some nugget blowing his foot off in his sleep. You will be contacted by me when you training cycle is to begin so stay sharp. In the mean time, read the Flying Operations Manual (FOM) in the Important Topic section above and post to forum when read.
