What has to be understood streight up is that the 'rules' for signatures are different on all sites! So there is no one formate we can use, however there is one size that seems to work on the most popular forums/sites that we tend to use with BSS, i.e. TAA, UKAA and ToW.
Most of the squad sites pretty much seem to allow for a signature size that I decided on, and that is 468x60. I also picked this size because it is an internet standard (if there is such a thing) for banner ads.
Now if any of you can do a better job with the graphics, and picking a general template for our pilots to use .. please step right up! I've done what I can do and I don't think I"m going to put anymore time into this.
As a member of the ToW BSS you will have a space for images that pertain to BSS in an area called 'the locker', there is a locker with each pilots name on it. This storage space is for signatures as well as avatars. If you want to use that space, an officer of the BSS will upload any images related to you and BSS to that space. Just contact one of the officers for more info.
I've made a templates for each of the styles that I did. 3 Other styles have been submitted but I've seen no follow up on them. for the styles that I did there is a 'space' on the template for your name and pilot number. Your name and pilot number can be done in any style that you like.
Listed below are the images currently being considered. At this time there are templates for image styles 1-4
Style 1 F4U Standard
This is the basic style that I have been using and some of you have copied it. In this case I have my pilot number and name, however pilot number or name is not necessary if you want to use a blank .. ok.
Style 2 F4U Sunburst
This style is again the Black Sheep F4u, just a different profile and background.
Style 3 P51
Here we used the P51 as the center aircraft.
Style 4 F4U Coming 4 You
Back to the F4u as the center peice. Note that this template is modeled after our BSS website, its the same picture as the centerpeice for the website.
Style 5 Left Side Spitfire
This is one of the originals I did with the spitfile on the left side. Note this style has the TS and IP number. If the IP number where to change we would have to redo the template. Note that there is not really room for a pilots name.
Style 6 & 7 F4U background/faded
These two are basicaly identical except for the font used. I liek the open face front best.
