If you've had chance to listen to East being interviewed there's some interesting snippets on the use of Enigma machines during the MP version.
East, any clues on how we will get to use the Enigma machines in the game? Will we be able to change settings, wheels and so on?
To try out a simulator and learn more about the machines and how changing the wheels/rotors and plugboard settings affects the machine click here. 8)
It's linked to from the site above but it's also worth lookin at enigma-replica.com. It shows the current photo of progress.
There's also an online version to save fiddling with files here at Bletchley Park.
For more information on codes and cryptography I'd highly recommend "The Code Book" by Simon Singh. It charts the history of the battle between code makers and code breakers from the greeks all the way through to thoughts on quantum computing (including a decent section on cracking enigma codes). It's a cracking read as well.

well if the enigma machein is used i'll need some serous lessons on using it as it seem very confusing![]()
Rip, if you listens to the interview you will hear that EAST says, that you have to guess if the enemy has got their hands on your machine, and when you find out you have to send a message to all your allies to change the wheelEast, any clues on how we will get to use the Enigma machines in the game? For those who are enigma-phobic, the enigma-machine will be able to automatically so you don't have to do anything to receive messages. Watch warfleet.net for updates on the multi-player version, including communications.
Thanks Jesper, I think I may need to listen to that interview again.

Thanks East for your speedy reply. I was just intrigued about the level of detail.
