Hedgehogs In Chapter 2

I saw a documentary of frigates and convoy escorts during WWII on the atlantic. It mentioned hedgehogs, and the footage it had of the was them moving rough an arc, the whole lot. From this I deduced that hedgehogs were trainable, will they be like this in Chapter 2. If they aren't why not? It would make things easier and maybe people would get less frustrated with them.

The hedghogs are dropped in a standard, fixed pattern IRL, just like they can't control the angle of K-guns and depth charge racks. The crew doesn't manually set where the pattern is dropped, as the pattern is designed to give the best odds to finding a sub in a given area.

You can?t adjust the actual pattern but the two types of projectors did have a different pattern. The Mk10 fired an elliptical patter while the Mk11 had a circular pattern. In addition the actual Hedgehog projector isn?t fixed in position but had limited movement on the fore to aft axis. This was accomplished by means of a hand crank on the back of the projector. It was mostly good for compensating for the roll of the ship and getting a little bit of a better lead on the sub.
