anyway, thought id share. was a really fun patrol...
Had a great patrol last night aboard zee U-boat...rather unusal. Didnt just get pounded by destroyers until i was swimming around in circled til the batteries dies....started out aking on 5 or 6 aircraft that i made short work of, then headest sout east to join a friendly 4 ship battle group that was taking out some merchants....helped sink those, then the friendly battle group started dropping like flys....3 rne subs had crept up and were now torping the ships out of the water...took the first sub out instantly, then played cat and mouse with the 2nd between 50 and 200 feet for about half an hour, while the 3rd kept his distance. A new contact was approaching alone from the south so i surfaced and headed towards it, keeping my eyes on the surface for the 2 submerged subs...the new contacts turned out to be friendly U-boats! woohoo! Although, they proved useless beacuse i simply turned 180 degrees and charged back at the 2 subs that were now well lined up infront of me, but about 100, apart....i fired sevral spreads from the surface, and just got plain lucky....sunk em both. I love how subs go tall tail up when you sink em : )
