Whats The Little Target For ?

I just downloaded the UK update patch for enigma single player, and was wondering what does the Target (icon thingy) that shows up when clicking the rightmouse button when in periscope or binoculars view do. It shows up grey. and doesn't seem to do anything as far as i know. Also can we fire torpedoes when in the 3d view? instead of going back to the control bar or scope to do it. I just want to take a screen shot of a torpedo exiting when in 3d view.

To fire a torpedo in 3rd person you need a microphone.

The answer to your question: Target thingy is used to select the ship/sub (possibly aircraft also) which you want to shoot at, then you give the order by voice command to "ENGAGE TARGET"..

So, you will also notice if you right click on an enemy, now your sonar/radio will show that vehicle is selected by making its "dot" turn white.. while other enemies are red..
