Here's A Thought... Wolfpacks!

I was wondering if there will be any way to be able to use Teamspeak to coordinate attacks both above or below the waves.
If we were to hit the transmit button for TS it could mute commands to the game.

Also' date=' what would be needed is a longitute / latitude grid or better yet the actual Kriegsmarine grid system.[/quote']
I think I recall something being posted in the subsim.com forums about not having teamspeak avalible because of the ability of people to cheat.  However' date=' it is my understanding that the encrypted communications avalible in game will allow easy planing and coordination of attacks.  Having encryped built in voice comunication would rock though.  Perhaps East can enlighten us on the currently planned setup?[/quote']
We are definitely planning for built in voice communications and encrypted text chat.  We won't be encrypting the voice as that is just a little too complicated at the moment.  However you will have control over who is allowed on your groups channel.
This includes the community portions of the shell as well as on the water.
Will the voice coms be developed by Tesseraction or is it going to use a 3rd party software ie. teamspeak?
Will you try to do it realistically? So that a submerged sub cannot communicate by radio but surface vessels can still talk to one another? I fail to see how surface ship players talking to each other is cheating' date=' after all radio was invented a long time prior to 1937. Im just interested to know the level of realism you are going to attempt with this idea.
Great game by the way[/quote']
