New To Forum And E:rt

Hi all,

I just purchased the North American version of E:RT and have a few questions. I was wondering if thermal layering is implemented in the game's ocean dynamics?

Also, just curious as to what happens when a ship runs outta fuel? Is there some kind of resupply ship or option?

BTW, great game. Haven't had this much fun since Silent Hunter II.

Hi Gary,

Yes they can run out of fuel, but it takes real life days for it to happen. Range for some of those ships is 3 or 4k miles.

Thermal layering is not directly modelled. While it existed, it was not known about and utilized in the early war. We have a random factor for asdic and hydrophone detection (on difficult mode) that mimics thermal layer refraction, but that's as close as we get.
