This is very sad news m8. Ah well for every prob there is a solution. Figuring it out is the hard part.
Well now the wife has graciously given me permission to go ahead and buy the new PC. Not only that but she wants me to get a good one (heh heh). So with that being the case, been checking out the I7 Quad cores out there. Down to either the Dell or HP. Dell I would have to order, but HP I could just go buy. So now it is a matter of who's gonna give me the best ATI video card for the money.

Go to a local computer shop, talk to friends, etc and find out who in your area builds nice gaming machines. You can get a top of the line gaming machine that will do IL7 no problem etc .. for about 2 grand with all the bells and whistles. I have all intel, board and processors. What you don't need is 'leading edge' for board and processor as you simply over pay for functions that no game right now can even take advantage of. Graphics cards .. study and get a lot of input on that one .. its key to a gaming machine.
When you buy local.. you can get a good deal .. you talk to people who "game" and know whats needed and what is not. You also have someone to take you machine to if necessary .... rather than a 'tech call'.
