=Irfc= Squadron Membership Application

Hi all, I would like my request for membership of the ROF =IRFC= Squadron to be considered, as the title suggests. :)

So, introducing myself, my name is Mark and I am from Newcastle upon Tyne, England. I already fly in ROF under the same name, "Biggles07", and consider myself to be "reasonably incompetent" in the virtual skies. :D

Nah, I'm being a little harsh on myself, I would say I'm "Industriously Average" :lol:

Other Sims I play are DCS-Black Shark, IL-2 1946 ( Squad Leader 'RCAF_FB_Orville', check here at rcaf.fb.com in 'Members' section, Fighter Group to the right hand side ) Flaming Cliffs 2 also. I have been flight simming for many years, and I am now 34 years old (My RCAF_FB page has not been updated with right age lol. )

I like to have a good laugh, mainly in it for the fun and I'm an easy going kind of person......I don't take things too seriously (Christ its sounding like a feckin Lonely Hearts ad LMAO :lol: )

Some of you may remember talking to me for a bit on TS3 quite a while ago, (Comet, Mols very briefly, and Darling) At least Capt Darling from Hastings does anyway! :)

I'm hoping that you lads have training sessions etc once in a while, or are at least planning to? Good to get wingman tactics down etc and learn how each other 'flies' I think.

So there you have it, would be delighted if you would consider me for membership Chaps, and cheers! :)

(PS the Squadron Skins look grand, nice forum too!)

Sounds like you'd be a fine addition to the squad.

To be honest though, I don't remember you too well and I'd like to talk to you some more on TS.

I am honoured, and thanks for having me Chaps! Hopefully I will do the side proud. :)

I was on briefly Friday night roughly 7-8pm GMT but could not see anyone around. Ditto briefly early sunday afternoon. Is there a full list of squad members by country anywhere? It would be great if we could all agree to some kind of 'Official' time and day (perhaps once a week or so?) we could congregate at instead of in dribs and drabs? Maybe this has been done before, not sure being new lol. There would have to be some kind of compromise of course, but I don't mind the odd late night as I'm working part time atm (as long as its not ridiculously late lol).

Hope to talk to some of you soon, got a few things going on IRL but will try to get on when I can.

I'm not on the squad, but really enjoy flying and shooting the IRFC boys (and Casper) down!

Where and when are you all flying lately?

I flew with Parazaine the other day on ToW and had a great time with the objective based TDM map that Squirrel made. I'd stick with ToW as my default server of choice if we could just get a few more flying on it.

Syndicate missions cause rof.exe errors for me, so I dont usually fly there unless there is a decent plane set in the current mission.

btw, if the IRFC wants to fly a squad practice, I'm happy to fly against you all. :P

If we dont have the numbers for a full fledged match, we could put you all in N.17s, and I'll take you on 5 at a time in a d7F! hah!

Hi Guys,

We currently don't have a specific meet time each week.

It is difficult as we have squad members from all over the world.

Weekends are usually when we see more of each other.

That is a good idea though, we have a squad meeting this Sunday so we could discuss it then if we get enough people.

I'd say 3/4 of the squad are in North America.

The people you might see in your time zone Biggles would be Capt. Darling, Bender, Louie, Cassper, Tvirdi and Alex.

The rest of us are usually online between 2200 - 0500 GMT (our late afternoon-evenings) during the week and usually starting earlier on the weekends.

I'd like to get involved in some squad wars, let me know if you hear of any other squads that would be interested.
