Example Email for New Pilot

Lets say first contact is an application via our BSS Website as a given.

The following is an example email that I send out when I get first contact via the BSS Web Site. One has to read the application first.. then tweak the email. These folks need immediate contact and some guidance to get them started. What is most important in all cases is one on one contact via Team Speak or phone right away. Phone contact does not work for all and in all cases.. so tweak the email to suite the situation. In this case.. phone contact would work. If they have TS and and get right on TS that works just as well or better.

So.. you wanna be a Black Sheep Eh?

My name is Tbar. Just got your application to the BSS for Air Attack .. or I should say just opened my email Your application appears to be what we are looking for.. the right age and location. I'm 60 years old, several of our members are of 'age' while we do also have several members that are not of 'age' as yet. If you can mix with all age groups you won't have a problem here at the BSS.

What we are looking for is some stability .. i.e. members who can stick with it.. I hope you are one of those types. No one does really well as a new pilot, which I assume that you are to this game from your application, but flying with a squad/team will accelerate your experience level and get you up to par at a far quicker pace! It also a lot more fun when flying with a squad ..

Before I can jump up and down and holler "Welcome to the BSS" there are yet a few things we need to do.

What you need to do to become an official member of the Team.. is meet with me on Team Speak and to join our group from the Central Launch Pages. So.. lets take the first step and go to the Central Launch Pages (CLP) http://www.airattack-central.com Log in if not already.. go to the profile button, mouse over and select "Squads and groups".. then find the BSS in that listing and click the link that says "Join this Squad/group". Once you have done that I will get a PM to attend to that request and I will approve your submission.

You also need Team Speak so you can 'speak' with me and the rest of the team. This is what we use during practices and matches or when flying.. we communicate with each other.. just like the real pilots do If you know about team speak .. great, otherwise go get Team Speak at http://www.teamspeak.com Download the 'client' version. It installs very quickly and easily. Then go to our website http://bss.tidesofwar.net and click on the 'Radio" button .. that button will take you to our Team Speak. The little join forms or boxes.. all you need to do is fill out your nick name.. the rest we can take care of when you can actually speak with me. That Radio button will connect you to our Team Speak. You need a headset, they are not expensive and normally a good one can be purchased around the 20.oo range. Even if you don't have a head set as yet.. at least you can 'listen".

If you see a BSS member in the game.. say hi to them and they might be able to help you also should you be having any problems.
