ToW Club requires that all ToW Battle Groups use the forum calendar to post all scheduled "matches". There is also a certain format that is too be followed. BSS has not been following the requested format, however what we are doing for now is ok so long as we do post our match information. There is no reason not to post our regular scheduled practices squad wide.. as well as for 'wings'.

I took the liberty of updating the calendar with all the remaining matches as well as our practice times.. by Wing.

I'm not really sure of Wing info .. I think it might be out of date for the current time and situation. Its original design is sound, now we just need to firm it up for our current situation.. i.e:

Gold Wing - America's based Pilots

Blue Wing - UK/Euro based Pilots

Red Wing - AU/NZ/Jpn based Pilots

Past Ref's to "Wings"

http://forum.tidesofwar.net/index.php?showtopic=4396

The 'Pilots' page on our http://bss.tidesofwar.net site has the flags color coded to match what was the wings are one time.

There was also a post that clearly said who was on what wings and who the wing leaders were.. this post I have not found as yet.. but it should have been 'pinned/stickied'.

I think we should consider making a change to 'wings' to match the area of the world the pilot is from. ?? ?? ?? You can see from the example above on wings I have done so.. for the purpose of tying to get practice times out there.. in the public.. and also to help co-odrdinate the "New Pilots Training Program" sponsored by the BSS .. i.e. Air Assassins.

If we are in agreement as to what the 'wing' information should be.. and maybe using 'wings' to ID the home country of a pilot .. we might be miles ahead. If we agree.. then we need to let every pilot know what Wing they are now on .. and who the wing leaders are. I have taken the liberty of posting this information in a "practice schedule" post in the "public Pilots Lounge" area of our BSS forums. I posted it in the public area so the 'outside' can see our practice schedule.. including the Air Assassins. Re Post: http://forum.tidesofwar.net/index.php?showtopic=10804

This is your call Joker.. but as a good CiC I'm putting in my suggestions .. .. I can change what has been done, I just needed the working examples up and viewable for all this to make sense.. and to start the AA Squad with a Ref for their practice times.

It all sounds good to me.

As far as the format for the Tow calendar, I just followed the format that was there. To me, they are making this thing far to complicated. All that matter is the the team name, the league, the date and the opponent. All of which is contained in the calender. The rest of if serves no use from what I can tell.

Anyway I like what I see. I really don't want to give the title "red wing" to the Aussie's I prefer to keep it here for the US. I think Silver wing may be better, but it's not really a big concern to me right now. So go with what we've got.

Ok.. Silver Wing.

I'll use sometime next week to really 'firm up' the wings and colors.. you can assign/confirm the WC's.

I had a thought we might ask the AU dudes what color they want ?? I'm not that up on colors of flags etc..

The calendar thing is not hard.. and there is a huge purpose for it.. which is ToW keeps track of all matches and we want to put it in a data base.. so what we need is the 'habit' and the 'procedure. Each 'division' of ToW on the forums has a match history section where past matches are moved... I'll review this with you some other time. For now.. BSS is kinda a loaner in the Air so not much attention is put in the Air Section.. however recent changes are showing two IL2 groups moving in .. so things may speed up a bit. In addition we don't know as yet just how far the Air Assassins will go.. they might end up being official ToW Sponsored Squad as well.

I like what I see. As far as Aussie /NZ colors they can pick what they would like. I'm not oppssed. Their flag colors at Red White and Blue also due to them being British Colonies years ago, and I assume that there is still some relation there since they both use the Union Jack in one form or another.

So far everything is looking really good. I'm excited to see it get off the ground.
