AWARDS DISPLAY - I have one for everyone

Hello Black Sheep,

I finally made a Awards Display for each and everyone of our active pilots. I still have some thing to get figured out and I'm going to need some technical help which is beyond my knowledge leve. Below is my awards display. All of them will look Identical with your pilot name on them.

What I need help with is these item:

1. How to place the award ribbons where they will all have equal spacing.

2. How and where to make and put a bulk folder with all the ribbons in it, so when some one attains an award all I have to do is to go to the place of the bulk folder is , select the ribbon of choice and place it on someones award display.

3. The ribbons will be kind of small. I need to have some way of when someone put there cursor on the ribbon it will bring up and box with the full size ribbon and an explanation of that award.

I think to accomplish this you gotta use Flash or Java Scripting to make interactive images like you want. but i'm sure flash will work specially when u hover mouse over the pilot ribbon and it will show a small popup box with info, but about dragging and dropping it's a bit hard but u can edit the scripting manually everytime to add/remove pilots.

I will try something later and tell u what i got. i'm not that good with flash, but i have a good background, i will try..

and you can use the locker to save individual pilot ribbons under a new folder, and i think you have server access to it already. but if you want the junk folder inside the award board at some corner or something, thats another thing, but i think it's possible too with flash scripting and flash is so powerful and u can even add password to access the junk folder. and u can still add password to the locker folder too individually using server CPanel access control.

by the way, this award display is good too for LMS weekly competition awards/ribbons. or it will serve as a honor board for any thing else too. and we can make only one and add it above the pilot roster page and keep updating it.

also i just remember now, apart from flash, u can use Dreamweaver software from Adobe to make popup menus and server side buttons, forms..etc with not much coding involved, it has like a built-in templates for many tasks.

I have never used flash before, but I do have the compete Macromedia suite 7 sitting around here somewhere. It look to complicated for me to use.

Tbar made the wood looking back ground and I made the Purple cloth and added the Black Sheep logo and the name. Just to give credit to the proper people.

I'm thinking of some invisible grid. I also have some ribbons ready to go and Talon has also made some nice ribbons. We just need to size them properly to make everything look uniform.

Well you start with something. Can't wait till its done.

It just reminds me how different and better BSS is from other squads.

I think you should get involved with the ToW Graphic Team.

That format you are using is the official ToW Club siggy box, it comes in wood grain, gold, silver and bronze.

We want ALL ToW Battle Groups to use that format for siggys, once we have all the work done.

Right now we are working on the 'official' Tides of War "Seal" and logo's .. then the divisions of land, sea and air, etc .. then we do the battle groups such as BSS .. and this is where I think you would fit in nicely.
