Pertaining to squad leagues matches such as 2 squad and LTS Please post what planes you are most comfortable flying during matches.
Reason being is I know that some pilots love Spits and are good in them, and others are better in LA7s and some are good in BF-109K4s. If we have a lot of pilots show up I want everyone to get a chance to fly if they show up on time. Therefore, if I know what you are really good in I can prepare a flight roster and have everyone set where they need to go.
JoKeR - BF-109K4 & LA7's and YAKS Not to bad in a Spit, just to slow for my taste.

Tbar - spit, la7, p51, k9, yak, but, hurrican .. in that order.
Bryz - Spit & La-7..hmm those r the planes i know and feel comfortable in..i really need to practice more.
k9 , spit , la7 anything else doesnt matter so much to me . i'll just be a splatter on everyones windshield
Great Idea! Joker
it will help us get the best fighting skills out of every pilot separately.

Spit is my #1 all time favorite, i think i do turn-fight very good with it (specially after being warmed up enough with this plane for at least 1 hour flying time the same day) and specially against another spit. but i do beat 109k many times using my spit.
but when the enemy plane is 109k or la-7 he only have armor advantage and gun/cannon damage against me, but i still can turn-fight very good against la-7 even tho it's a light weight.
Yak 9 is #2 favorite, for me, it has a very comfy cockpit specially in F4 padlock, i can also turn-fight very good with it but the only disadvantage is weak armor and guns.
La-7 i'm not yet sure, i still need more flying hours with LA-7 to get the feel of it and decide. but i do turn-fight good with this plane and i like the bad damage it cause by it's cannons.
109K i'm still practicing it specially zoom and boom, but sometiems i do good job with it against another 109k. but for me flying 109k against another spit i get worried cuz of the bad turn-fight abilities for 109k. but i still love it cuz of it's strong and almost excellent armor and guns/cannons, and i really enjoy flying it for exploding other planes lol *Sweet Revenge* *Evil Laugh*
Hurricane (the flying fortress!!!) as i call it, i love it cuz of the heavy damage it cause to other planes, and very good armor (i think! better armor than 109k?), and also for its very far shooting range ( i can pick other planes and shoot them down like flies from a far distance and i'm still safe cuz their planes still can't shoot that far at me), but its sooooooooo heavy so i can't risk flying with it in 2 squad and LTS matches. it's only good in FFA specially when u spawn, and dive on a furrball (or whatever we call it) -i mean multiple planes are busy in different fights at low alt.
ofcourse there is no PERFECT plane (light weight, armor, guns) all same time.
Conclusion:
My Best Plane choice for 2 squad and LTS matches : SPIT ONLY!!
P.S. Since i joined the squad many months ago, i always wanted to make a similar forum thread and other pilots give out their personal experience about each plane, which is best looper, turn-fighter, guns/cannon damage, which is heavy and which is light weight, what each plane is best for so and so..etc. we can order all planes in a numbered list for each skill or ability.
for example, (looping abilities: #1 LA-7 #2 109k #3 spit..) - hit damage #1 #2 #3 -
and exactly how many cannons/guns each plane has cuz i still don't memorize that and i need more specific details.
hit damage percent % for each plane too using cannons or guns. 3%, 12% 30%..etc
we can do a brainstorming on this thread and exchange very good and detailed informations, tips and experiences. for the best of our squad pilots.
Please Joker make a new topic and make it pinned, or we can pin this topic itself better -since i gave my personal evaluation for each plane already- (and i hope this thread never go to the archive sub-forum). cuz it's important. i know i did read the flying manuals and all but i don't want theories, i want to know the actual practical experience of other pilots they gained among months or years of flying hours about each plane.

Very Good Observations Coldfire, Tbar myself, and I think Corey T were talking about this the other day.
I need a couple of people to do some testing on different planes to find out, gun ranges, altitude performances, top speeds, and such. There are a few charts in one of the flight manuals, but I do not think that all of that information is correct. Don't get me wrong it could be correct, but it needs to be verified.
I'll make and pin a post for you so we can do some work on this.

Thanks Joker,
Much appreciated
and yes i forgot to mention about the altitude performance, gun range, top speed. there must be many factors to consider. I agree also that charts and manuals are not everything and they should be correct but still we need to harvest alot of detailed infromation from pilots experiences plus our own testings. those tests and experiments are not any less important than the training practice we have each week on sunday.
we can invest more time and energy on those experiments so in 2 squad matches each pilot will have enough background knowledge to choose which plane is suitable or best for which situation. for example if we are in the second half against another squad and we are losing and have no time we could use some planes that could make the more damage in the smallest amount of time. OR another better example, if we know the weak points of each squad we play against in matches..we can use the type of planes which they are not very skilled against.
So those detailed informations about each plane are vital. and once we gather them the results should be protected and kept secret in a forum with a password, cuz for me i consider those info much more valuable than all the printed flying manuals/charts which anyone can get off the internet or somewhere else. and we will keep those information updated month after month or year after year. and if any single pilot noticed anything new or need to make a correction we can keep editing those info over and over until we have the almost perfect results.
any 9 years old kid can go to some bookstore and buy a book say about "how to fly an airplane in 7 days without a mentor!" or "Flying Spitfire for Dummies" lol, but seriously, after he finish the book and study it well does it means if we give him a real spitfire plane he can actually operate it?
Moreover, we shouldn't forget that those original manuals are made for real planes in real life WWII combats and in this game we usually play simple game mode not realistic mode. so there must be variations!
Plus, i'm pretty sure even the best squad Pilots in this game in general don't know everything about each plane and if one of the elite pilots discover or figure out something on his own or even flying tips, im sure he will prefer to not pass it out so easily. cuz it wasn't easy for him to figure it out in first place among his long experience.
sometimes when i fly against a few pilots in FFA i can even name them, and while i'm in my best shape with my favorite plane..i feel there is an edge somehow in their fighting skills i'm still trying to figure it out till today and i will keep observing as much as i can. someone might read this line and laugh, i know i'm not a very good pilot or in other words i know there is many pilots much better than me but when i turn-fight against those top pilots few times in a row. it's like each pilot has a different style or let me rephrase, it's like each pilot know something he can't share!
to prove this theory, sometimes i fly in FFA and i have a lil chat with other very good pilots about the game, trying to learn something new from them, some are willing to give some new tips out and some are not.
and there is another idea just came across my mind now while writing this, why we don't collect info about other squad pilots and also we should know the planes each one of them are best skilled at, just like we do here now on this topic. it will be like intelligence work somehow but it doesn't violate any AA rules.
and added those info the the 2 squad match sign-up topics everytime. the same as we mention which is their best pilots.
All those info will help us as a squad to improve in a faster pace.
and by then we as a squad will be holding a masterpiece.
