[RESERVED SPACE]

Dates/Times

Planned date is still open, planned day is either Tue Eve or Thru Eve, planned time is 9:30 PM Wash DC time so that West Coast pilots would not have to start before 6:30 PM. This time will allow a finish time of 10:30 PM Wash DC time which is not too late for the working folks.

Squad Alliances

This is open for debate. Right now we plan to 'ally' FD and TS against USHA and BSS. This can be changed if there is a problem.

Rules

Rules are stated in opening post.

Objectives

The objectives here are several:
  • Fun Event to fill in some time
  • Testing of a new system
  • Testing of TeamSpeak join buttons, etc
  • Testing of a new league event that will be open to all communities. As it stands now this is a USAAC Invitational Only .. i.e. squads must be invited.
  • Testing new 'standards' to be used within USAAC and hopefully other communites as well. These 'standards' are designed to help the League and Event Managers to be able to swap xls and doc files that all can read and work with.

As Posted on our USHA forums:

Problem:

It was sort of strange for a challenge to be issued on the 8th of september on behalf of our squad and none of our CO's knew about it or where approached about it.

Then when you came to our humble USHA forums and posted 4 days later you requested us to think about it. Thats kinda silly to issue the challenge then ask us to think about it in my opinion. Thats for our chain of command to decide amongst ourselves, not at the bequest of another squads officer. I know its just a game but after yours and my conversation on TS about being signed up for 2 squad without being asked where I told you that it was ( THE CO"s of USHA ) that we would play and did not take anything personally and didnt need to be involved in any drama. But that did not mean that we will be ok with being signed up for anything at any ones whim.

Question:

Did you have a momentary lapse of judgement? Or perhaps just not think of it like I explained it? Or did you think that we are just a bunch of fella's that dont mind being whored and bitched around ?

Comments:

All of our CO's are readily in the game and accessible and approachable.

Popgun works in the same arenas as well as Kid daily and weekly with you.

We love Tow Squad and BSS squad have no ill feelings towards any one.

But we are nobody's Bitch!

[ Please re-read the very 1st and 2nd post of this thread. ]

This "Challenge" was just a "name" for a test event for a future League. It is a 'test' .. not testing the 12 O'Clock game .. but testing how it would work out for a future 'league'.

The teams picked were just pulled out of the hat .. yes, I did team bss with usha because we have flown together a lot. I thought TS strength .. and FD talents would make it an even game with BSS inexperience.

I spoke with every squad .. at the BoD meeting about this league test .. at that time we didn't have a name for it.

Next I went to everyones team speak .. hit and miss as to who was on TS at the time .. and I would freely admit I was not taking notes as to who I spoke with, times, dates etc .. I just know I did. USHA has a lot of Co's so I thought anyone of them ...

This is not something *I* just did. Speak with FD Marine and he can confirm .. what he said to me when I was asking him how I should get this out to everyone: " ... hell Tbar. .just post it on everyones forums and see how it flys. So I did.

This was something I walked into innocently to try and get a league event going for 'fun' for the whole of AA .. not to cause some major problems or hard feelings. I am the most reachable person in AA .. if there was a question or problem .. why not just contact me via TS? Why stew on something or feel offended? In the USHA squad alone there are several people "including' PopGun that knew all about this from me direct and/or asking me questions about it. They knew what was intended. There are no dates, times, or firm squad pairings.

Here is what I think is the real problem:
The USAAC Squad of USHA and BSS have put forth the 'challenge' to take on Terror of the Skies and Fighting Dragons .. !!
Yes, your right .. USHA squad name was just put there .. bad advise .. won't happen again. Apologies extended. It is the way I 'promoted' this . .its the promoter in me .. marketing. I like to get thngs moving .. not take forever to get done. Again.. sorry.
I will say .. that reading your post and the way you present things .. I too would feel the same way i.e. "Don't Speak for USHA without our permission". However this is not the way it went down in reality. The comments .. I would not have made and would never make.

I will never have anything to do with events or league or 'challenges' again. This is a done deal for me .. I'm out.

I have no problem with anyone .. or any squad and I will continue to visit about so long as I'm welcome.
