E:rt Gold Edition Cd Key Question...

Hello E:RT community,

I have the Enigma: Rising Tide Gold Edition (Chapter One - 1937) that I recently purchased from Best Buy new and I figured just pop in, install, and play; however, this was not the case after a couple times playing and I apparently need a CD Key to verify the disc now.

What's bothering me is that I played it right away when I got it and it played fine and it's an awesome game. But just a few days ago it's asking me to verify the disc.

I have looked around before and found the CD Key in the forums; however, I have forgotten where to find that CD Key to check if I copied it right (this is the one I had found: QQCCLR - 863VZM - XA42CH - AYY44D). If anyone can help direct me to the area where it is listed, help me out to get it easier, or tell me that my copying skills stink and here's the actual code, that would be better.

that key should be the correct one.

it could be that your cd drive is incompatible with the cd protection, do you have another drive you can try install it from?

No, Im' playing off a laptop that has pretty much evey other system requirement (or higher). But I'll try working it again. Thanks for the confirmation on the code though!

Gold edition doesn't have a key (it's internal to it). That error means that it's having trouble reading the disk in the drive. Often this is caused by the anti-virus being on when you try to run the game.

Ok, darn... So I guess that means my best attempt is to go return the game, see if that works. If not, check my d: drive. However, every other CD I put in works, I got that Empire Earth II and other games, but, then again, hopefully it's just the CD. Thanks East and Jesper.

does your other games use starforce3 cd protection?

I can't say that they do or do not. As I am not totally secure with all the terminology and the programs used for the gaming or the computer world. But I can say that while downloading the other games I have, I have never seen nor hear of the "starforce3 cd proection".

well if you have downloaded an illegal copy of E:RT you should hurry and dissappear from here.

Oh, no worries about that (illegal copies). I actually went back and exchanged the game for another CD (Must have been the CD copy). The new one is working and looking fine, especially those Axis' ships sinking! Thanks for the help though! Good community to be amongst!

Same thing happened to me too. I started the game 4-5 times, now it asked me for a cd key. I went through the info thing and copied the cdkey down, then put it into the thing that asks for it, but it said that my key was wrong. I checked it 3 times, put it in the hyphons, no hyphons, and spaces, nothing works. What am I supposed to do?
