Concerning Surface Vessel Torpedo...

I'll supply you with the basics for now, if they don't suffice, be glad to ask for more and I'll be around.

Click on "A", "B," or "C," whichever one is torps.

Click on the red light above the torp you want to change. I believe you can select more than one.

Change heading (l/r meter) depth (m) & speed (knots and effective distance, m)

Turn off the red light so not to change other torps to the same setting.

That's about it. Sinking AI subs is pretty easy once you figure it out - fire a square, accounting for movement & inertia, exe depths 15, 15, 30, 30, max speed, & headings 5L, 5R, 5L, 5R (depending on how close they are to you). Usually one or two torps does it for a sub. Remember you can set all your torp tubes and then have a sparratic clicking of the fire button, its much more effective than firing one, adjusting, firing (they can just dodge each one in turn). Anything else just ask.

- EDIT: Or, ya know, you could use your parascope or targeting bonocs... spacebar to fire. -

- You can use the targeting periscope/bonocs and hit space to fire.

- When below 20m you have to use your radar, a lot of fun... sometimes. Also takes a bit of practice and a bit of luck since the radar isn't 100% accurate all the time.

- Make sure you're aiming ahead of them

- Fire more than one at many angles, all at once. Its too easy to dodge just one. Also, make sure you time it so the one that would hit them farthest away is fired first.

- Make sure if you're firing underwater or w/out bonocs/peri you use the process I listed above... otherwise they just go straight.

-Keep in mind most ships most faster than you think. Even a tanker a mile out will have moved very, very far before a torp can get to it. Aim accordingly.

-Practice, practice, practice. I've been playing for two or three years and I'm still not an expert (although not to say I'm not pretty close :oD j/k)

You could also use P to pause , whilst you take a look thru the scope ( surface or sub ) This will give you time to see what is going on if you are not familiar with it all. Move left/ right by holding down left click in the scope view , oron the dial at top right , but watch you dont click dial within outer rim , or it sets course .

After a little while you do it by instinct .

The tubes light up green when inside the target angles,,,

Voice or Space bar , or clicking on the green lights will fire .

Space is good to fire a spread quickly in succesion .

Dont try zooming too much . Literally a long shot chance of a hit .
