The Fletcher is primarily produced at the Hog Island Shipyards in Philadelphia, but that situation will undoubtedly change should as the scope of naval conflict expands. With seven deck guns and two quad torpedo racks, the Fletcher Class DD may well be the deadliest vessel of its class on the seas. Its six anti-aircraft turrets let it operate even under heavy air attack, and two GM Victory-5 engines provide enough speed to let it close quickly with enemy submarines. Hunter-killer groups composed completely of Fletchers have recently been sent to reinforce USN bases in Singapore and Manila.

As noted, under "Armament," the vessel is stated to have five 5" guns, yet in the description it is said to have seven deck guns. Is this a typo, or am I just missing them somewhere?

In anycase, until I find these missing guns, I would have to say that they Alliance-class is the "deadliest vessel" of it's type. Same torpedo and depth charge armaments, but with a superior number of same calibur guns in superior locations with superior speed (4kts) and a fire control tower. It has a lesser anti-air package, twelve 20mm's versus six 40mm flaks and ten 20mm's, but I do not think this is enough to counter all the other advantages the Alliance class enjoys.
