"Captain, we're have two targets but only one torpedo left."

Hmmm, clearly we have to use the BUXTON method.

CRASH BABY CRASH

*Note: you can't actually see it from this angle but the implosion on the conning tower is from a torpedo....that never hit the water. Fired from about 2 boat lengths away in rough seas, it left the MTB like a missile.

Gave it another try this morning at about 03:00 (weird work schedule).

As soon as the mission loaded I set the throttles at zero until I heard the alert and then set them at 2/3. I imediately targeted the 50 cal. and the AA at the sub that pops up at about 2 O'clock and concentrated on the other two subs that pop up nearby.

Torps were set for max speed and 3 meters depth. The first was no problem because he surfaced almost dead on for my #2 torp and a quick spin to starboard lined up the other with #4 torp.

Right after launching on him I got the kill notice about the one I had the guns set on.

Still didn't get the 4th. before he dove.

Ordered my allied ships to attack the Hun DE's while I sat next to #4's bubbles with engines off.

Right after the enemy aircover started attacking me I saw the periscope! I held my fire until he was fully up and then let him have a full spread of 4 torps at 25 meters.

Results:

4 resupply subs destroyed

1 enemy aircraft downed

1 Ally MTB lost during attack on Hun DE's.

I don't have the ability to use the voice commands so it's all keyboard and mouse for me.

Fun mission!

I've just gone throught the worst mission 6 ever....

From the start I moved the throttle to stop and told all the allies to attack the DE's and waited for the mission go sign. The weather was stormy and the waves were tossing me around like a cork when the first sub surfaced. At this point I went ahead full as my allie MTB passed the sub just on the other side. Being about a boat length away I sent a fish at the sub and turned towards the one off to the left. Halfway through my turn I caught the glimpse of my torp fly over the enemy sub by like 30 meters and land on my allie MTB and sank him right then and there ( I figure he had damage from the sub's machine guns). I ordered my guns to shoot the farthest north sub and I sent another torp at the left sub turning just in time to miss ramming it. I raced at the forth sub and reached it just as it dove down and I put the throttle to reverse thinking it may resurface for a second and it did. Right under neath my boat. It "rammed" me forward so it came from behind and it shot me to peices before I could forward engines and turn around...

I am a sad captain.

BTW...2 missions later I beat the mission by 50 cal. the first sub, torped to second and third and apparently my sinking allie rammed the fourth and sank it. I assume this due to the fact it was submerged and my allie was hit by a shell and sank from the message he sent me.
