My main concern with the modived Bismark and Tirpiz is the loss of PR potential.

Would you rather buy a game which says "Play as Bismark terror of the sea" or one which says "Play as a modivied Bismark which isn't the terror of the sea anymore but can launch planes!"?

There are enough ships that were historically planned to be converted to Aircraft carriers (for example Potsdam , Gneisenau , Seydlitz) and there is the alternative to model the Bearn as french contribution to the Imperial Navy.

We already have the Bearn. Bismark and Tirpitz re-fit is a reaction by Richtoffen to the bombing of Scapa Flow. It seemed the perfect time to try out the efficacy of the the "BattleCarrier" designs. We shall see how they do....

Wow, how long does it take you to modell a ship given enough material (pictures, blueprints etc...)?

Ok, well if we are going to have more and more aircraft in the air, should we have a special DD or DE with a lot, I mean really lots of AA guns, or even we could shot 4inch AA shells. I mean the MGs on the planes puts your boat on fire, even if the plane is alone, so whats going to happen vs an army of planes, plus 15 inch guns on the carrier. Still the modified bismarck gots some class, the tirpitz less, that center tower/bridge doesn't look like a carrier.

You are correct, it is Bearn.  It was decommissioned and we have it re-constituted for Portugals use in protecting the Azores.
Yes, we are heavily arming the carriers.  We are also creating the planned but never created BattleCarriers.  Starting with the conversion of the Bismark and the Tirpitz.

The Bearn wasn't put out of service till after WW2 as an aircraft transport.

Why would the french sell a perfectly fine (and thier only) carrier?

As for the BattleCarriers: ask the Japanese how well they worked

Not enough planes to fight a carrier.

Not enough firepower to fight a battleship.

A conversion of the Bismark class Ships was never planned as far as I know, perhaps you could model the really planned Seydlitz conversion instead of building ships which would have never been build no matter how alternative the history because they wouldn't work technically (barrel elevation at longer firing ranges or the effect of shockwave of firing mainguns on the planes above them come to mind)?

Maybe increasing the numbers of Graf Zepellin class ships, or making some of the other planned carrier conversions could solve the lack of german carriers as well?

This would also be a more realistic/doable approach to the problem.

Anyway there is still the Hood to sink, so we need BBs anyway, and the americans got to have the IOWA class, and the japs a Yamato. That's what we want to see in the game! We need a poll about this...

Beatyfull,IMPRESIVE!!! The tripz and bismark conversion. but one thing , what do you do with the historicals aircraft carries? I would like see the bigs and famous japaneses and amercians aricraft carriers. You imagine: Bismark and tripz versus Akagi and Kaga.

Since you gave the Germans the power to kill off all the other nations you should think about giving the british a Scharnhorst class battlecruiser to attack the German shipping, why not youve already given the Germans two hood class battlecruisers and at least give the Americans some battleships like the Arizona and the idaho, and of coure the missouri plus give them a few carriers.
