Snl Standings Update

Hi All,
Yes Tbar USHA has played 6 games and everyone else only 5. The reason there are 7 games to be played with each team getting a bye during the matches. This means that each squad will play 6 games total for the SNL. Thus USHA has the bye for the 7th game so that makes them the lucky 6 played games. For at the end all teams will have played 6 games total.

Take care,

Skydancer

OK.. what you are saying is that a 'by' is counted as a game played. What I am saying is also correct in that you can't have one team that has played more games than any other .. since we play in pairs at least two teams would have had to play 6 games. .

Counting a 'by' as a game played is silly, the title of the column should be different, etc, as an accountant things need to add up. So, Wins + losses needs to equal the number of game played.

I'm not the League Manager so this is certainly not my call, I simply had a question in my reply comments to explain how one team can play more games than another. Since a 'by week' is counted as a game played by Skydancers reply .. then I understand that part of the math now. Silly, but I understand.

Since I post the table as webmaster I felt that in response to 'whos the slacker' I would simply post my question and ask the League Manager to address this question and get me the correct results.

To me .. it does not matter if there is a by week or not. To me its simply math of:

Games played = Wins + Losses. There is nothing in the rules on scoring that state a game by week is counted as a game played.

IMHO our USAAC front page results should be the 'official' standings .. at this time I can't do more than I have and have asked Sal and the League Manger to please verify and confirm the proper table to be presented as "official". As webmaster I simply post what I am provided, and reply to posts as a normal member. Right now I see two site with different information .. so I'm on hold as far as posting anything different until I get 'the word'... from the "Officials"

The rest of you can continue the debate .. just keep it nice now boys :)

Hello,

Ok let me try to explain again why one team would have 6 games played and the rest only 5.

1. There are 7 squads playing. USHA, TS, RB/GE, Warships, Evil, BSS, and FD.

2. Each squad is given a bye which they do not play. Not counted as a played game.

Now lets look at the SNL Fixtures:

Game 1

FD vs RB/GE

TS vs BSS

USHA vs Ships

Evil -- did not fly not counted

Game 2

Ships vs FD

RB/GE vs TS

Evil vs USHA

BSS -- did not fly not counted

Game 3

USHA vs RB/GE

Ships vs Evil

FD vs BSS

TS -- did not fly not counted

Game 4

RB/GE vs BSS

Evil vs FD

USHA vs TS

Ships -- did not fly not counted

Game 5

RB/GE vs Evil

TS vs Ships

BSS vs USHA

FD -- did not fly not counted

Game 6

Ships vs BSS

Evil ve TS

FD vs USHA

RB/GE -- did not fly not counted

Game 7 NOT PLAYED YET

RB/GE vs Ships

BSS vs Evil

TS vs FD

USHA -- does not fly not counted

Now if you do the math you will see that USHA has been in every game except for the last game to be played which they have a bye for.

RB/GE games played 5

FD games played 5

TS games played 5

Ships games played 5

Evil games played 5

BSS games played 5

USHA games played 6

Sorry but this is how it works on paper, do not mean to be a pain but I just wanted to show how one squad could have played 6 times vs the other squads only 5.

To be total honest the scores are really not correct anyway if you think about it. They are counting games won and lost but really should be counting each half as a game. Maybe they do and it is not reflected on the standings I don't know. Just my opinion. Image

Take Care,

Skydancer

OK Skydancer I can see thru the muddy waters now. Silly me thinking everyone played all the by weeks already.

So one of you silly guys can tell me who's table is correct and I'll fix the USAAC table .. just to be proper and all.

Honestly the USAAC League Manager should be the one suppling the official figures .. but we can go with what ever is right .. just let me know :)

Skydancer is absolutely correct.

With other words: next saturday is the last day we play, before the play-offs start. All squads playing next saturday, apart from USHA, who having a ?bye?. After next saturday all squads will have played 6 matches. Right now it is only USHA because they?re through and will have a ?bye?next saturday. This is because the number of participating squads is uneven (7). Only 6 squads can play on a saturday (in pairs of 2), one squad has to sit out (`bye?). So far only USHA has played each saturday during the last 6 weeks, which why they have already all 6 matches played and have to sit on the last saturday. ;)

Considering I posted it was not right and gave the correct solution. Sod ya. Twice now i've pointed mistakes and i've been told they were not right. Stop being so arrogant Tbar.

The whole Times of the schedule, '10pm 11:15 1:30 GMT' which was wrong and you refused to change it, i had to speak to Sal/Knightmare to get them changed. Nice to see 'skydancer' is right long after i've already stated the problem and solution =D /reminds me when Temper got thanked for suggesting the games should be seen by all the refs after i already stated that =D
