Just Played The Demo - Some Important Questions

2. Surface to Surface and Sub to sub combats are very frequent, i just finished sinking 3 US subs in my Type 7 U-Boat
you can indeed slug it out with other Destroyers and subs
Sub to sub? That sounds awesome. :D

Could you elaborate on this?

Can you fire torpedoes at enemy subs 30 metres under water and have deep water sub combats? And if so, how would you know what depth an enemy sub is at? Is it shown on the HUD or in a different format?

@ Jesper & Cpt-Maxim

thanks for the corrections :)

teamspeak is ok, accents and different languages/slang make it more difficult than it should be, so i prefer to type hehe:

@ Gabsau

elaborate... um, its just like going fishing (with depth charges or a rod and reel)

sit back and hope you get lucky

by lucky i mean, the enemy comes above 50 meters (at 50 or lower, u can't fire torps, or you start taking on water) then you cap off some torps and hope you hit him before he can dive or shot back!

sure fire way is to stay on his broadside, he can't return fire if your not infront of the tubes.

if he is under 50, (mostly they stay there till the run outta O2) i just wait at 60m, just below torps if he moves to fire, coz if your above him, u can surface for air quickly and get back down to force him to stay under.

after desperation sets in he is a sitting duck, more worried about surfacing than killing you... then BAM! Followed by the sound of wrenching and you get to add about 1000 tons to your total tonnage sunk

how to find his depth? F5 :D third person view is the best way (I?ve only sunk 1 sub having not used 3rd person, and it was an accident! lol)

and their depth is estimated on the Tactical Display (AKA the ?radar screen?) the arrow gets darker and smaller the deeper the sub is, time doing surface ASW missions help with this ;)
