Tank Priority

After discussion, the GMs of the coalition guilds have agreed that in order to make best progression through the various instances, but in particular MC, that we should introduce a limited amount of prioritisation of kit to tanks. It is felt that this will advantage everyone, since we will be able to get further quicker, and thereby obtain more/better loot for all, and beat the instances. To do this, a list of our primary tanks (those who have been with us long term, and tank regularly in MC as well as elsewhere) has been defined:Primary Tanks: Koren, then (in no further order) Asbach Buxton Doughead Hurston EDIT: Hurston quit WoW, Doughhead is having a break, so Criptlord specced back to protection and will be a new priority tank. The two types of kit for prioritisation are craftables and drops. For MC craftables, these will be made for tanks first, and then for other members of the raid on a "benefit to the raid" (of giving that class a certain crafted item) and "attendance" basis. There will be no DKP charge for these items. For drops, a list has been defined, to be kept as short as possible, of the items to which the specified list of tanks above will receive priority; this will mean that they will be able to take the item whatever their current DKP total, but WILL be charged DKP for it. This will therefore give no advantage for obtaining any non-tank items, and is not a blanket "take what they like" type arrangement, but is specified to allow our primary tanks to become better tanks asap for the benefit of everyone. The following table shows the list of items (essentially the Might set, plus a few items for Warriors, and an even smaller list of items for the druid tanks) which will be prioritised to the tanks:

i think this is indeed a very clever idea... i'd even go as far as to suggest the same thing to be done for the corepriest group (the name duranbar pops in my head in the matter of frequent attendance). tanks and priests are the heart of a raidgroup. it's crucial to keep them up.

it's good to make this decission now and that it didn't at the start of the MCraids. now you have a good overall view of people that actually (try to) be there every raid. good call i'd say and concider my suggestion

Well, I can imagine the other hundred warriors not being happy with this as they get loot last :)

For priests we don't really have that problem, since the only priests we have (and its not that many) are dedicated as well. Not that many changes in the priest group.

Although, we do have that problem with warriors, they are many and while most are steady some come and go.

I can understand Criptlord's, and I'm sure other warriors, reluctance. This means that you will get your might set later. But, if the others have it, then you get it. You'll get it anyway, and all the other great warrior drops that are not on the above list, YOU will get before the "tanks" cause they will be down in DKP.

I hope you come mostly for the fun of raiding and progressing in MC, and kitting the tanks means faster and quicker progress. That means much more drops a week, getting to higher bosses, and voila before you know it you have your set too. Probably quicker then doing only the four bosses a week as we do now, with the very thin spread out of tank equipment for the tanks.

Anyway, it's good to know the coalition leaders are talking with each other about how things go in MC etc. I hope this will work out well!

Love, Lisz

we're getting more organised :D yay !!!

good step forward for the coalition guys keep up the good work. And thnx for thinking about the other warriors and making it so that the tanks WILL go down in dkp instead of just getting everything they plz ,lol.

As mentioned by Kint. It is a thing to consider for our priests as well.

i undertsand cript's grief as well BUT as mentioned by lizz: you can still go for the other uber epics for warriors... if you are a frequent flyer you'll also build up enough dkp to perhaps win 2 items in one run (if yer saving for the might set) and 3d remark (also forementioned) the main idea of tribes raiding still remains the fun and challenge of doing the raids not solely the epics (which are ofcourse very fun to get)
