Sos: Help With Campaign Mission 4!

Hello everyone if ToW forum. I have a problem/I need help with ERT v2.0.1. patched to gold: Germans Surface campaign mission 4. In last 27 days I try to pass this mission? and unfortunally don?t pass it yet!!! I avoid in one time 7 torpedoes and be hit with last eight? many times this damn PT boats escaped to the north-east? one time I sails 3,5 hours to NE I try to find them but northing? I read all your forum post about this mission I? am going crazy!!! Do you know any way to hack this mission or change ships statistic ?maybe with ENIGMA Ripper or ENIGMA: Missions Program? (I vent to remove 4 of 8 damn PT boats or change number torpedoes for PT boats from 4 for each to 1-2 for each or increase speed of player destroyer-escort ship from 21 knots to 35 knots) I went to made changes only for this damn mission after I win it I be reinstall the game and back difficult settings and ship characteristic. I don?t like cheats but this is for me ?Mission Impossible? and I become very frustrated!

work on hitting all the boats once after that they are slow down enough you can catch them and if they do start to run try not to take any damage that might slow you down. other that that just sail into them and blast the hell out of them. dont be afraid to use torps to or just ram them if you get the chance

I believe that this is by far & away the toughest of the surface missions! It took me 24 tries before I nailed it and I seem to remember that it took some others upwards of 40 tries. I firmly believe that everyone will get past it if you just keep trying. There is no hack that I know of, so this is how I conquered it.

I found the main deck gun too unwieldy to handle as far as shooting at PTs, so I went to different patrols and practiced extensively with the torpedoes, (even though the mission advises that they won't be of much use).

Once I was proficient with them I went to the campaign. Some have had luck running straight into the PTs, but this never worked for me. I ran slightly away and kept them off my port stern. This allowed me to be a slim target but let my deck gun have a chance at the same time. I let the IA do the gunning and avoidance manuvering while I worked the torpedoes, (they were set about 4 degrees towards the stern). After shooting off a salvo I harassed them with the large AA gun while letting the topedoes reload. Once reloaded, back to firing until they were all sunk. I sunk 4 of 8 with the torpedoes, although the final screen gave me credit for 3 torpedo hits and 3 sunk with the deck gun. Hope this helps. Have patience and just keep trying - you'll get through it!

i beat the hole campain relitivly easyly and that mission was not all that hard. i think it took me 2 trys and thats it. i just sailed into them and let the deck guns rip them up.

Wow! I am amazed. I had a great deal of difficulty with this level as I believe quite a few others have had from reading past posts. My congrats to you!

i have just replayed the mission and all the boats did "after they were out of fish" was go out a few miles then do a x pattern back and forth until my guns got them. thank you though for your congrats. P.S you are doing this mission with a DE Escort right

well i really dont know what to tell you i just replayed the misson again and it did the same thing. but while i am here i wanted to ask you how do you raise your rank on this sight.

I'm not totally sure, but I believe that your rank on this site goes up with the amount of posting that you do. In order to find out for sure, you should contact an administrator like Jesper.
