Map troubles in the new server

So, back when I had my IL2 modded with the UI 1.0, I manually installed fabianfred's Thailand map. Never could fly in it, it would load to 90% and then IL2 would lock up. Figured I had a mod conflict or something.

Then, a few weeks back I installed delvpier's Phillipines map with the same result...90% lockup. OK, I thought, I'll wait for the UI 1.1 release, and surely these troubles will be solved. I think you may see where this is going...

Yep, UI 1.1 installed on a virgin copy of IL2 loaded from disc and patched to 4.08m. No other modifications. Same result on both maps!

I get error log files like:

So, can somebody check if their install has the Jumo211_2701.wav? Mine does not. I have 2700 but not 2701 and copying and renaming 2700 to 2701 fixes nothing.

I have a feeling it's a video card issue. I have an ATI x1950pro with 256mb memory running 07.10 drivers. I run IL2 in OpenGL mode. Tried setting landscape setting from Perfect to Excellent with no change in success.

Any insights welcome, short of suggesting a new card...not going to happen right now or soon.

Help! My ability to use our new server is hampered until I get this fixed...

As I stated, I have an ATI x1950pro PCI-E video card with 256mb onboard memory. I was running the Catalyst 07.10 drivers, as anybody who deals with ATI product knows that the latest drivers are not always the best. I decided to try loading the 8.12 catalyst drivers, as the latest 09.10 drivers have gotten mixed reviews at best. I installed only the display driver and WDM driver, as I use ATI Tray Tool for config and don't want the Catalyst Control Center mucking things up.

After rebooting, I find that I can load BOTH MAPS! I have successfully flown using both maps, and can finally leave this issue behind me. Even though the errors seem sound related, it turns out the issue was video drivers. Smooth sailing once again...
