You wrote earlier, that torpedoes run at 5 meters depth. That means torpedo boats are invinsible from torpedoes, and from subs too.
Is that true?
A sub that is surfaced or at periscope depth (to 18meters I think), will be hit by your torpedos.

I think he's asking how to take out a PT boat with a sub, since they have such shallow draft. I'd think that surfacing and introducing them to Mr. Deck Gun would work. Even AA fire will chew up a mosquito boat.
*If* the PT boat has no torpedoes left and her captain is blind, dumb and deaf. Because at 40 knots speed even the destroyer need a lot of time to hit a torpedo boat.Jesper,

And the next question - I am now looking for more info, but it seems to me that patrol boats Fury class has a draft less then 5 meters too. But the subs torpedoes surely are hitting it.
More info - I found it - the draft was between 12'1" and 14'1". That is less then 5 meters and means even with bigger vessels the topedo has a fair chance to go under the hull.
On a perfectly flat sea... it might be close... Once you start getting swells, then it's possible for the torpedo to dolphin out of the water, which of course means it can hit anything on the surface, or it could sometimes pass under some of the larger ships.
