Sex?

I was just wondering if there were any women playing Enigma or is it just men with beards?

I know of 4 women that plays (or used to).

I know of atleast one man without beard that plays.

I personally know (around the world) three women who play, in addittion to my own daughters in this house.

Plus, I can think of at least 3 more with a strong interest, but only in MP.

I had this discussion when I was in Oregon, women feel empowered in an environment such as this where they can compete equally with men...the problem is getting them to participate and break those stereo typical images.

Side issue: in the old IW days, I know that the skirts were MUCH better than their male equivalents. (Silvercat, Tigger, Angel#1, and at least one other.)

In all the naval games i have played its seems the ladies prefer the ones based during the period of wooden ships and sails. May be because there were historically more women involved especially as pirates:)

Not at all. It's just there have been so few surface naval games that weren't sailing ships; until Enigma. Wind and water are the thing.
