Gents and Ladies,

DCS:Blackshark is a higly realistic simulator for the Kamov-50 , the Russian counterpart to the United States Apache Longbow.

There's an article posted regarding this simulator right here at Tides of War in the Geeks Lair section.

This is a fantastic sim that some of us are getting involved in now. For those less serious it also has an arcade setting for those more interested in a casual experience.

I hope we can generate some interest here in and around the ToW club in flying this simulator. Being the state of the art sim at this point means theres alot of fresh interest and motivation from many to be involved and enjoy this program.

For those interested please post here and or contact me at anytime. Presently we fly a regular thursday evening mission every week. Aquaintences and members of the 29th ID and members of the =353= (Clubs operating outside of the ToW umbrella) are involved at this point in flying and learning this sim.

A Ventrilo coms server is available presently for those participating. Details provided upon request.

~S~ Good stuff Baker,

We have 4 pilots learning this sim together in our squadron and are doing the same thing. I'm also putting together a series of Vyew lessons. We started on navigating with the ABRIS and using autopilot and have been working on using the datalink equipment to share target info and marking ingress points.

Man so much to learn!! BIG FUN!! We really need to get our people together one evening and fly some joint ops missions. Have your people call my people and we'll do lunch.. *grin* Or something like that.. *grin*

S! Gents,

Boom, I've registered over at your WH forums and I'll attempt to post over there as well when theres some good info.

We're trying to build a regular thursday flight event every week if that suits folks interest . Tradionally my old club NNB , and as well the 29th had the regular thursday tradition going for about 7 years .

As well Im encouraging participants to use the 29th Ventrilo server as it guarantees clear coms for everyone , as some including myself have not been happy with TS clarity at some times. Ventrilo server info is posted above.

Rgr dgr Baker,

You're now approved as a special guest and have full access to post in the Blackshark forum as well as any other information you have to share on the other sims we play. We have both a 15 slot Teamspeak and a 10 slot Vent server for comms as well. What time do you guys normally fly/start on Thursday?
