Team Battles, Lets Get Prepared

Howdy ToW Tankers,

 

 

As we get ready for some new and exciting events I want to touch on Team Battles.    

 

Please put your focus when grinding tanks on the following tanks.

 

Heavys:   US T32, Soviet IS-3, French AMX 50/100  Alternates: US T34, Chinese 110, 112.

 

Mediums: US T26 Pershing and T69, Soviet Object 416.

 

Lights:  T1 Cunningham  (Everyone should aquire one of these)

 

 

The reason for this line up of tanks is simple, these are the tanks that the Pros recommend and use, and I think its pretty hard to deny their recommendations.  Is this always going to be the final rule, no, at least not at the present. I'm sure not all of you have these tanks in your garage, at least I do not.

I have the T32, T34 and IS 3. I need to do some grinding on the medium lines. However I do have the T1 Cunningham.

 

 

 

Now here is the reasoning behind all of this.    We have fought a few team battles with just 5 heavy tanks in most cases, but the problem is, we don't have anything scouting for us.

 

The point system allows for a Maximum 42 points. In our case, we go in with 5 Tier 8's and thats 40 points, the 2 T1's give us the full complement and helps to gives us a scouting team in advance of our main front.  If we don't have the full compliment of tanks, we are just hurting ourselves even though we've had pretty good sucsess with our 5 tank line up. Any unsed spaces get locked up.    Match making for team battles is based upon player experience and not the tanks used. (At least that's what Wargaming states.)

 

Another aspect new of these battles is that we are no longer going to split our main battle group up.  We'll all stay together and focus fire on the enemy.  The only tanks that will split from the group are the T1 lights. They'll do the scouting,  1 out in front of the main battle group, and the other to the middle  or far side of the map.  

 

 

Some of you may have some good ideas and all are welcome to post replies to this thread.   I think we have a good base group of players for starting out and we need to build upon it.

 

 

Remember to platoon often, recruit, recruit, recruit, and use Team Speak when you can.
