Nothing big, but something handy if you are playing with ERT game colors using ENIGMA Ripper.

ENIGMA Color Tool is small tool for ERT game modders who want to change game colors of things like the sky, ocean, clouds, fog, haze and others. Using it you can easily see color shading differences and have clipboard access to the decimal color values which ERT requires. You don't have to calculate decimal color values anymore.

I have got the hang of the ripper program and successfully made assassin flags on all of the ships but for the life of me I am not able to change the COLOR of the water...I see 2 files in the "Ocean" folder in the "Texture " folder and have and can change both of them and It shows as successfully updating files etc but water still same grey color....if when you upload the new file did i misunderstand it saying to upload the zipped file as well or just the modded file...kind lost here...tried to paste my logos on some camo files too but no luck yet here either...any suggestions or comments welcomed. :)I use Photoshop with the plugin and use the Windows plugin too so I can see what files I am looking at...have paintshop 7 too and the color tool etc..dont really see how that tool can help me...man Timetraveler sounds like someone I'd like to chat with.

Hi Iceman,

Sorry for the delayed reply. I just now noticed this. I sometimes miss stuff with all these forums.

Funny thing and I noticed it too, neither of those two graphics seem to have much to do with the ocean color. Water color is determined by the following configuration files in the game's data\scripts\weather folder:

clear.wcf

cloudy.wcf

puffy1.wcf

puff2.wcf

puffy3.wcf

wispy1.wcf

wispy2.wcf

wispy3.wcf

The water color corresponds to the different weather/sea states. They are just text files, really, you can open them up in any text editor.

Generally, for all files you want to modify, make sure you have created an ENIGMARipper\ModdedFiles\.... folder structure to hold your changed files.

What I do is extract the file I want and place it in this \ModdedFiles.... structure. For instance, the new clear.wcf would go in the \ModdedFiles\data\scripts\weather folder. Make your changes, then when your changes are done, be sure to also ZIP it up there too. Run the EZV packer and it will repack the ZIP files it finds in the \ModdedFiles.... folder into the game EZV file. Then run the game.

I have played some with sea colors myself, and also wave characteristics too. Quite fun.

Hope this helps.
