Usn-- Surface 10(a), And General Tips

This is an outstanding, if little known game. But very difficult. Anyone -- anyone -- have any tips for surface mission 10a/b for US? Any suggestions were I might look for tips in general (e.g., other sites)?

I'll tell you what -- I start the mission and this is usually what happens. (Here's the log from the last time I tried)

17:03:14 - Mission started at 53.7.11N, 12.25.33W

17:03:29 - Destroyed by BB305, hit with a 15in deck gun round

And the rest is irrevelant. LOL Ugh! Some suggestions please? My destroyer doesn't handle 1,938 lb shells very well

EDIT: This is for mission 10a. Below is how I beat 10b

I basically gave support fire from a distance -- I stayed with the other destroyers, but I let them take the fire first. I then steamed at flank and made a torpedo run every once in a while. Just concentrate fire on whatever ship your allied ships are hitting. Just make sure you're not the cloesst ship if one of your friends dies -- you'll be in everyone's sights then!
