The Dec. 1 rookie event.. how we really rookies to act?

I have just finished reading the rules for the King of FFA for rookies only event. i was really getting

excited until i read that runwaying, shooting from runway, and ramming was ALOUD!!!!!!! i stared at

the scrren horrified.. we had the right idea here but totallt ruined it by the rules.. seriously, is that

really how we want the rookies of AA to act? They should get to learn the rules and respect them

BEFORE they go breaking them in some event that lets them. i know it doesnt really matter much but it

would make WAAAAAAAY more sence to have all the COC rules apply wouldnt it? cuz i know that some

of the rookies will accidentaly take these 'almost no rules' rules out of the event.. that is what we

DONT want... anyways all im really trying to say is that it was a GREAT idea up until that point..

It is a really good idea. I hope Wiz continues the effort and if not I'm going to suggest USAAC pick that up also as a possible fun event.. rookies only.

Yes, I agree that type of game and the rules seems to be teaching new pilots a form of behavior we don't want. I PM Wiz and passed that on.

I think Wiz is n the right track .. and asked him to consider different types of games for future Rookie Fun Events.

well it was no surprise to me or any other BSS pilots but i did win the ROOKIES ONLY FFA.. i shouldnt have been flying but i did and i was in as Recruit... USAFCAR was second... And Hunta was third... and i think =Stiefer= was fourth

it was pretty decent it wasnt as bad as i thought it would be but i kinda enjoyed shootin down RED when he cant shoot back

Well as far as I'm concerned about this so called Invitational Rookie Event,

was no more than a "BOOBY TRAP" from the very first get go! I was told that

the targets WERE "GUIDES" ONLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and after repeated text messages

to Wizard that I was being targeted by some of these UK guys for which they avoided

the GUIDES and went for me as tag" ToW_BSS_Cutter, I also said that it was intentional

and that if they persisted, I would return fire, I was told by Wizard not to, only shoot

the Guide (target)!!!!!!!!!, My complaints went to deaf ears, so I quit the freegan thing!

My opinion is they can ram this and any future event up their 6s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, even if BSS

did win, and no matter how dirty they played it and by their dirty rules, goes to show

them, "They ain't up to par period in my book! I will never partake in any of their

so called "Mickey Mouse Major Malfunction Num Nut' events again!!!! I'll stick to good

ole popgun' events, at least pop has "Honesty, Fairness and "RULES" that are Obeyed

I understand what your saying and you did what you felt you must by leaving the game.

The reason why I'm responding to your post is probably the same as Fox, not about what happened but rather the way you say what you feel and pull no punches, ur not political, which also makes me chuckle.

As time goes on and you see things that p--- you off and you decide to fly and or vent in your post I can assure you it doesn't fall on deaf ears just archived for future reference, so stick with it cause your tenacity will eventually make you the caliber of other vetran fliers, you know what justice is and your presence will help lead the way to help make things that you now see better and clearer then your seeing now.

Yepper, Roger that TS_Hawk, I know things such as this ticks me off, and I

should take a little more time to post a reply with out anger, but, I informed

BSS that something did not seem "Kosher", when the UK personally invited

the BSS Squadron's rookies against their rookies, since this was an Invitational

Event UK vs BSS (USA) I was informed that I should enter for which I did under

my ToW_BSS_Cutter tag that showed the UK and the GUIDE (Wizard) that by

my registration date of 10/07 I was a rookie, and my tag would represent BSS

as a whole in general, but, as follows;

1. THERE WAS NO UK SQUADRON TAG NAME WHATSOEVER!!!, only Mickey Mouse

tags.

2. I was informed by my X/O that GUIDES only were our targets period, not a dam

free for all, for which Wizard verified!, was informed by rules, we could Spawn,

runway, collide and etc against these targets only! being "GUIDES"

3. Within the order to scramble I had 3 Guides wasted in the first 4 mins., after that

when I was on GUIDE ming's 6, I got hit from my 6 by a UK pilot,, I banked off

my GUIDE target to avoid what I thought was accidental fire from this pilot, big mistake

on my part, was not friendly or accidental!, Was intentional this pilot and another

joined in on my 6 dogging me to take me out, seeing "Green" bullets all over me,

I Climbed to text a message to Wizard, Tell these pilots to break off me, or I would

return fire, was instructed by Wizard, "Not to do this, GUIDE TARGETS ONLY!!!, I

obeyed as instructed, was shot down anyway! This kept up NON STOP!!!!!!

4. I again text message that I was being sought out when I observed 2 UK pilots vere

off a GUIDE deliberately and come straight for me firing, I went down, my message

was, tell them to stop or I would concentrate on them and not the GUIDES, again

told by text messages to shoot only GUIDE TARGETS!!!!!! that's when I quit and exited

the event within first 15 minutes, Trust me, I hd so many pilots in my sights, that I

could have easily racked up kills (scores), but, I followed the rules and instructions by

Wizard, So like a GOMER PYLE< went after guides only! Never again!

5. SET UP from the very first git go, being, such as I can hear them now saying prior to

the invite, OK Ole Chaps, here is what we will do, we will enter as nick name tags only,

Ok, UK_Thrasher your nick is "Ole Mummy", UK_Elizabeth, your "HineAss, and so on,

now everyone remember who' who, "SEE ANY OTHER NICKS< > WASTE EM< GUIDES

anytime you come across em Ole Boy, Cheerio Lads, Let's slaughter those "Bloody

I have spoken to Mr Cutter since he made his post .. and there was some mis understanding.

UKAA did a good thing with the Rookie Event. God Knows the Rookies need more fun type events they can participate in..

This was a OPEN rookie event .. and Cutter thought it was a BSS vrs UK Squad Rookie event

A text message was given to Cutter by Wiz .. that told him to shot the "Guides" only .. this may have been in error.

Acknowledge that there were post made on the UKAA forums by Joker and Cutter for claification on the rules .. before the event started.

I am sorry for the late reply on this topic as i have been with out a ISP for a short time In fact for the event Rookies King of FFA i used a PAYG connection as to not let anyone down .

I seem to have been slated by numorus parties for an event that was fun . I am amased that the USAAC LM or any other US admin has not asked me to reply in person as I am the UKAAC LM and for it to be said that I arranged a kill the americans event where UK pilots would use annoamous names is almost slanderous

The event has very few rules because rules are not required runwaying ,ramming, crashing can only happen at the start as after that all players spawn and as its the pilot with the most Kills, to land and repair would just waste time

The event was posted on the CLP for everyone to read

At no time did I say on open comms only shoot Guides to anyone as this was a king of FFA evryone shoot everyone

I sometimes think I should ask the USAAC before I wipe my nose
