Hey.. other than picking on a few colors and maybe some graphics .. its great .. I like it. Lets move forward

Get me admin access as soon as you have time so I can start to learn and digest Joomla in full and will be able to give you some valuable assistance.

Also, once again.. consider me as your official assistant .. sanctioned by the BoD. Fear not if you don't want me at all.. it won't hurt my feelings one bit :) I do feel I can be of valuable assistance however.. and at least someone that does 'give a s---".. rofl.

IO have got the CLP opening up in a wrapper but dont think it looks that good...see what tyou think. Anyhow, go to the How It Works page from the FAQ's and create an account. Once you have created this I will then change the access level and send you the link in the morning to check out Joomla 1.5.

As far as the CLP look .. I think we can fix that :)

First we need a 'wider' center we can fix that making the wrapper allow more width to the inner content box-area. Then we can 'force off' the "menu" button and thus giving us nearly 200 pixels less to deal with. I'll check on the code to turn off the "menu". If you don't know what the 'menu button' is.. look at the CLP and you will find it in RED or GREEN in or near the upper left. You don't really loose anything by turning it off as its all available in the left to right top nav boxes :)

All we really need is about 100 to 150 more pixels for our content area .. which I assume is basically an Iframe?

I took a look at the new site .. and estimated that we have about 100 pixels + left and right at 1024x768

I could be wrong on all this .. so I'm contacting GE and getting some info, but I think this will work .. we just need a little more left and right room.

Registering on the Joomla site.

Dern it.. I thought I did this already, but ok .. off I go :)

I have registered, responded to the verification .. it all worked just fine and now I see a "Hi Tbar" welcome.

One question I do have is can we make the ONLY registration at Joomla where folks don't have to then register for other systems we might use such as "SMF". I'm not that familiar with Joomla yet, but there is a plugin for IPB (ToW Board) to accept registrations from Joomla as the authoritative source. This would be a really nice thing if we could do that. If you don't know the answer to that .. I can do some checking and find out .. I won't now because you might already have that in the works.

BTW.. IPB is soooo much nicer to work with than SMF .. I forget and get spoiled.. lol.

Joomla User Menu

This little feature will mess us up all the time if left on the left side as it is now. We need that space.

I'm thinking we need to move that if possible. Again in a 10424x768 view .. it presents a bottom slider bar for the forum view .. and really does worse on the CLP view.

My comments above about the CLP view.. were BEFORE I registered .. thus I did not have the 'User menu" .. now that I am registered .. aww soo.. I see a little problem :)

If we can .. try to move the User Menu so its a top nav button? Then he user menu is selectable from a drop down?? ??

I'm not that familiar with Joomla yet, so my suggestions might be crap :)
