Guys,
I need a little help here.
Seems my computer went off the deep end and I had to restore the system.
I can't for the life of me get my microphone to work in the game though.
I've reinstalled all the demos:
Recruiting A,B,C,D,E
Technology Demo A
Offline Demo
and Retail Demo.
The mic works fine in normal use, the game just doesn't hear it.
I have reinstalled the EnigmaSAPI file but the ambient sound file that installs after that tells me that the trial period has expired.
I didn't think this would matter as we weren't supposed to use that file anyway.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
control panel->speech-> click 'audio input' and select your sound cards wave device.

Tried that before tho Jesper to no avail.
I've got a couple of different sound/game cards around here somewhere that I'll try installing.
Seems that the drivers to my Sound Blaster Live were corrupt.
Did ya ever notice that the greatest time saving invention ever made, computers, have caused mankind to waste more time than ever before!
